No one likes cancellations, but if a customer is going to cancel their appointment you don’t want to be tied up on the phone dealing with it. With Genbook you can let customers cancel appointment themselves. Head to the Settings section (gear icon at the top right of the screen) and select Online cancellations to set up this feature.
On this page (pictured above) you can enable online cancellations and set the minimum notice you require when a customer cancels. This can be as little as one hour or as much as five days.
When any customer makes an appointment with you, their appointment details (in the Customer Center) will contain a link that allows them to cancel. This page lets them cancel their appointment (provided they’re outside the minimum notice period) and notifies you with an email. If a customer tries to cancel with less than the minimum required notice period, they’ll see a screen advising them they can no longer cancel online and must call you if they really can’t make it to their appointment.
