Making a test appointment is a great way to see what your customers will see when booking with your business. You’ll be able to check out the whole scheduling process from a customer’s point of view, and also see if there are any changes you want to make to your services, descriptions, availability or the information you want to collect at the time of booking.

To make a test appointment, go to Settings (gear icon at the top right of your screen) and click the “Book a test appointment” link that’s to the right of your Scheduling Webpage URL

Everything will look the same as it would to client scheduling an actual appointment, except that there the words “Test Appointment” will be highlighted in green on the right side of the page.

If you complete the scheduling process and enter a valid email address that you check, you’ll receive an email confirmation, which will look the same as one your customers would receive when making actual appointments, but indicate that the appointment is a test appointment.

Once you’re satisfied with your setup, and how the scheduling process works for your clients, you can cancel the test appointment in your account.

Genbook Pro Tip: Be careful not to post your Test Appointment page URL anywhere that customers will be clicking. This would result in all your online bookings being “Test Appointments” and cause confusion for you and your customers. Always use the Scheduling Page URL or one of the BookNow button codes, exactly as seen in your account.
