Your business’s Search Categories affect how and when your business is displayed to customers searching the Web and Genbook app. You can choose one primary Search Category (which should be the category that best, most wholly represents what your business does), and up to two additional categories that clarify, expand on, or add to that primary category.

Say you run a day spa, where you offer massages and facials. You would select “Day Spas” as your Primary category, because it encompasses all the different services you provide, and it’s a general term customers would search for to find your business. Your additional categories would then be “Massage Therapists” and “Skin Care”, because those are two services customers might search specifically for, which they can receive at your day spa.

Keeping Search Categories accurate and up to date helps ensure that customers looking for the types of services your business provides, or your type of business, will be able to find and book with you more easily.
