What do I need to get started?

Not much really. Our sign-up process is very easy and takes just minutes to complete. We only need your basic business details, a brief description of the services you offer, and the names of staff you want to make available online. We do all the rest.

Later, you can enhance and refine your account by setting things like; booking lead times, upload your logo, add business closed days, set staff notifications, send booking reminders and add personalized messages to your customer booking confirmation emails.

How much does Genbook cost?

Genbook Free is, not surprisingly, available at no charge for as long as you keep using it. Genbook Free gives you all the necessary tools to start accepting online bookings, with no restrictions to the number of staff, services or appointments you can take. You can upgrade to Genbook Standard at any time.

Genbook Standard costs $39.95 a month. It adds extra features such as credit card capture, text message notifications (so that you can stay updated and receive immediate notification when a new booking arrives) and customer management.

What do I need to use Genbook?

Genbook is an Internet application and runs entirely within a web browser. You can log in to your Genbook account from anywhere there is Internet access.

How will I know if I have a new appointment?

Each time a customer makes an appointment, you will immediately receive an email and/or text message to your cell phone alerting you of your new booking. New appointments are clearly marked in the Genbook application Calendar and Messages Inbox.

Will my customer receive an appointment confirmation?

The customer will also receive an email at the time of the booking and then a reminder email 24 hours leading up to their appointment with you.

Do I need a computer at my place of work?

While you may desire to have Internet access to better manage your Genbook account throughout the day, no, it is not required. Many Genbook customers do not have a computer at the workplace and only login to Genbook from time to time; say in the evening when they go home. As an alternative, you can still keep track of your appointments via text messages to your cell phone during the day.

How do I manage my online availability?

Genbook offers easy to use tools to manage your online availability. You can use a combination of business hours, weekly schedules, offline appointments and “one-click hold” techniques to address even the most complex availability and scheduling requirements. Cannot log in to your account?

Genbook uses your email address as your secure login name, as well as a way to send you reminder messages and information. As a result, it is vital that you keep your email address up to date and correct.

If you cannot login to your account, you should try the Forgot your password? link on the Genbook login page.

If you no longer have access to your email address, you should contact Genbook support.
