New Employee Benefits Counseling
New employees may request a 1-hour session designed to assist them with making benefit and retirement elections. Eligibility is based on position and employment status. There is a 30 day deadline from the date of hire to make benefit elections.
The exit interview survey provides departing staff with the opportunity to provide feedback about their experience at Clemson University. Exit interviews are voluntary; however they are strongly encouraged.
HR representatives are available to assist international faculty, staff and students with the following services: Employment eligibility verification, employment eligibility re-verification , and related tax.
Benefits Inquiries and Changes
Existing faculty and staff who would like to meet with a benefits counselor in a confidential, one-on-one setting to discuss their benefits are asked to schedule a meeting to discuss insurance and/or retirement.

Retirement is great, but getting out the office door is complicated. HR counsellors helped with every aspect from pension paperwork to Medicare Part D. They made sure I knew the facts and issues, so I could make the best choices for my future. This reads like an "ad" but they saved me money and frustration. Many thanks.

I went in for an appointment with Angela this week. I thought my appointment was in person, but it was scheduled to be over the phone. Everyone was so nice and took me in anyway. Angela was awesome. She walked me through every step to ensure I got the exactly benefit package that I needed.
