New faculty members may request a 1-hour session designed to assist them with making benefit and retirement elections. Eligibility is based on position and employment status. There is a 30 day deadline from the date of hire to make benefit elections.

New staff members may request a 1-hour session designed to assist them with making benefit and retirement elections. Eligibility is based on position and employment status. There is a 30 day deadline from the date of hire to make benefit elections.
The exit interview survey provides departing staff with the opportunity to provide feedback about their experience at Clemson University. Exit interviews are voluntary; however they are strongly encouraged.
HR representatives are available to assist international faculty, staff and students with the following services: Employment eligibility verification, employment eligibility re-verification , and related tax.
Benefits Inquiries and Changes
Existing faculty and staff who would like to meet with a benefits counselor in a confidential, one-on-one setting to discuss their benefits are asked to schedule a meeting to discuss insurance and/or retirement.

My experience with both New Orientation and Benefits Counseling were wonderful!! Besides the warmth and welcoming atmosphere that I observed and felt, I can honestly say that the staff went above and beyond to make my experience LEGENDARY!!! I am a new lecturer and was hoping to take care of as much as I could prior to the beginning of the semester. The appointment was easy and quick to make, my appointment went quickly but not without attention to detail. My benefits person listened to my questions and concerns and gave amazing options that I could look into. She was very knowledgable, kind and patient. I am so thankful to work for a University that has wonderful employees EVERYWHERE!
