New Employee Benefits Counseling
New employees may request a 1-hour session designed to assist them with making benefit and retirement elections. Eligibility is based on position and employment status. There is a 30 day deadline from the date of hire to make benefit elections.
The exit interview survey provides departing staff with the opportunity to provide feedback about their experience at Clemson University. Exit interviews are voluntary; however they are strongly encouraged.
HR representatives are available to assist international faculty, staff and students with the following services: Employment eligibility verification, employment eligibility re-verification , and related tax.
Benefits Inquiries and Changes
Existing faculty and staff who would like to meet with a benefits counselor in a confidential, one-on-one setting to discuss their benefits are asked to schedule a meeting to discuss insurance and/or retirement.

Finally, an experience of phone conducted business that did not make me want to pull my hair out. Filling out the forms in advance really helped the process go so smoothly. I knew what to ask and how to answer each questions. Way to go Clemson!
