I enjoyed speaking with my tutor. It was a very light atmosphere and made it very easy to speak. He wrote down phrases for me to visually see what I had messed up on and he encouraged me to practice certain wording when he noticed a pattern of me messing that grammar up.

I asked for the Korean tutor's help with reading sentences & she had an attitude the whole entire time & kept checking her phone. & when I couldn't pronounce the vowels properly, she said "you should know this by now". I know I should know this, I'm having trouble, that's why I'm asking for your help. & this isn't the first time.
Why you should come in for tutoring
Paula Warrick - Feb 27, 2015
Students, this is a fantastic way to build a level of proficiency that will enable you to apply for a nationally competitive, language-oriented scholarship such as a Fulbright Grant. You can set your own learning goals for your session, and these can be tailored to your proposal for research or teaching. I have had a number of tutoring sessions and have learned a lot.
Not a clear indicator of proficiency
Corrie P - Feb 16, 2015
I recently took the Spanish proficiency test. It was 3 articles in Spanish and then 5 questions in English for each article. I consider myself fairly proficient - I can have long conversations in Spanish on various topics - and I could translate about 80% of the articles without having to look in the dictionary. However, the questions and answers are very confusing and not well written. This is a test on attention to detail, NOT proficiency in language.
Very nice staff

However, I would like to know what questions I got wrong. Also, there were typos in the English answers.
