I recently visited my advisor to drop some classes and sign up for Fast Track Master's classes, and I have to say that the service in the advising office was top notch. The receptionist is really nice, and she informs you when advisors are ready. My advisor was very helpful, answered all of my questions, and helped me navigate the intricate process that is signing up for master's classes. Kudos!
Below average service
Current Student - Jan 22, 2015
I recently visited my advisor to get information about my courses and other requirements. I found that the advisors and receptionist are not very friendly nor helpful. I don't feel welcomed as a student to come in and ask questions. They don't respond positively to inquiries and seem irritated by all students. They don't even fake being somewhat interested in assisting you. They're very dry and direct. Personally, I absolutely hate going to them for anything. They definitely need to cheer up.
Best UTD School
Nathan D - Nov 28, 2014
The advisors here are almost always available for walk ins, and respond well to email. I've had a few odd problems crop up during scheduling weeks, and they've always been able to resolve the issue rapidly. The professors and teaching assistants are generally knowledgable and skilled in communicating information, and the school frequently makes efforts to attract potential employers and interning opportunities.

I am a transfer student and UTD has completely impressed me. Everyone was very helpful and overall I much prefer this school to any of the others that I have had experience with.
