I went in for my 75 hour audit and everything was covered completely. It went smoothly and I was happy with the advisor who made sure My schedule was setup and ready for graduation.

I was in & out of the office in 20 minutes or less. Mr. Elizondo helped me (not my regular advisor though), and he knew exactly how to help with my questions.
Horrible Experience 2.0

I had a fantastic appointment with my advisor. She was able to help me figure out what I needed to do with my schedule. I told her that I needed to talk to financial aid to go clear up some information and that I would come back to finalize the process. She mentioned that she would be out by the time I came back and that I may be seen by another advisor. I left the office and came back to an advisor that seemed to rush me out after my schedule was fixed. Be an advisor; not a hindering robot...

There are some very good advisors in this office, however, they are far outnumbered by people that have a horrible, "punch-the-clock" attitude for customer facing staff. If you ask anything of them when it gets close to the end of the day, they a prone to being immediately dismissive and rude. There are even a few advisors who try very hard to keep you out of the office and do everything via email, where it's 10x harder if your issue is a little bit more complicated than average.

Nothing against the advisor. She was nice. She prepped paperwork as well ahead of time. I felt like Irene was very professional. I have received conflicting information from my advisors in the past. Each one telling me of new classes that I needed for graduation. I think UTD adheres to the rules too much and does not advocate for the student.
