Unusually efficient for this office

The office switched to a better, now-electronic check in and queueing system. Your name is displayed on the TV in the lobby when your advisor is ready. The sign in process is fairly slow, though - you swipe your card and then have to fill in a bunch of info tied to your card (full name, major, etc.) as well as your appt. information (even if you set up using GenBook). I also wasn't initially aware that I was supposed to watch the TV instead of waiting to hear my name get called.

I was pleasantly surprised that they improved the queue using an electronic sign-in. The advisers are also very helpful and cheerful, which is always a plus since I go there when I'm confused about my degree plan.

ECS advisors are well prepared for helping the students. They are efficient in explaining the academic process and willing to answer questions. They're also responsible to make sure you understand the system.

The ECS advising office has helped me in many ways over the past 6 months. They made registration possible, and made it easy for me to see what I needed to do. It is full of nice and helpful staff, who will help anyone move forward.
