Smarter way to exercise
I've been coming to Smarter Exercise for years, and have become so much stronger and healthier than when I started. It's much easier now for me to maintain a healthy weight, and I feel better overall. The best part is, I only work out twice a week, for twenty minutes each. I've had two different instructors over the years, and both Winky and Tom have made me feel comfortable and at ease.

Six Years and Still Going Strong!
I'm 61 and over the years I've tried many different gyms, workouts, and trainers. I've found Thom and his methods to be the most effective and efficient of them all. I work long hours in Orange County and commute from/to Encinitas, so being able to get a custom full-body workout in 20 minutes a week is very valuable to me. Great for build up after surgery
Great help with smarter exercise to build back up after surgery. And maintain fitness , stamina, strength and balance. Used to fall down prior to smarter exercise. Strength building eliminated the pesky falls and increased my bone density.

The best workout for people who don't have time
My schedule does not allow much time to work out. One twenty minute workout with Thom each week gets amazing results. Thom mixes it up each week and keeps me injury free. Nothing could be as time efficient, Thom's studio is just right. Well located, clean and nicely finished. This is a perfect alternative to the big name gyms.

The Real Thing
I've been doing high intensity training in Connecticut where I live for five years now. It is profoundly effective for me. At age 65 I am stronger than I was at 45, I feel great and have no physical limitations. Several times a year I come to San Diego and I go to Thom at Smarter Exercise to replace the session I missed at home. Best most effective workout in only 20 min!
Smarter Exercise is a science based full body workout that only takes 20 min per session (I do two sessions a week) and the results are better than if I were to spend 3 - 5 hours a week in a gym. Terrific workouts, terrific gym, terrific trainer!
I've been working out with Thom once/week or so for the past 7 months. I've had great results, and am in the best shape of my life (I'm 44 and I'm in better shape now than I was in my 20's). The gym is clean and nice, well maintained - couldn't ask for better. Thom is a terrific trainer, always on point and encouraging, yet pushes me past what I think I can do. I've only had about 4 workouts or so at this point, but I'm hooked! Super Slow is THE way to go. I love the science behind the concept, and it's terrific to only have to work out once a week. I love everything about it! I can really go for it because it is only 20 minutes! Its safe and we do the exercises very slowly [form is very important] so I am always doing it right. And yes its hard & a bit scary, but in a really good way. Once I got used to working that hard--for only a few minutes, I felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment. My confidence is increasing, along with my strength, while fat decreases [yeah]. The feeling of wellbeing and satisfaction afterwards is wonderful!

The only exercise I've ever looked forward to

Get the best from your time spent.
I've increase over all core strength dramatically. The foundation I've built with HILI for my cardio-activities is unreal. I can now push as hard as it is possible for me to go and still have gas in the tank. I have more power than I can actually use. Working out once a week is a superior way of training. The rest of the time I spend doing action sports. I get the most out of my body and use my mind to do it. Its smarter exercise not harder exercise. I work smart so I can play harder.

This gives you amazing results in just 20 minutes a week. For a busy working person with a long commute, there is no better, more efficient way to get in (and stay) in shape. It is a stealth way to get fit and impress your friends and family. I have never been in this good of shape and it takes just one workout a week. 5 years and going strong!
This is the best personal training and weight training experience you will ever have. I've been doing it for over 5 years and have no plans to ever stop. I'm toned and strong, and was able to recovery from hip replacement surgery very quickly due to my strong bones and muscles. I was back pumping the machines 7 weeks after surgery! Strength & Energy Plus!
The reason I keep going to Super Slow is that doing the workout allows me the freedom to do any other physical activity better, and much easier. (This includes sprints, yoga, bicycling, Rollerblading and chasing after my puppy!) With Thom's guidance, the workout is very safe, and, the occasional "muscle tweaks" improve (or disappear) with the workout. My 20 minutes a week just makes my life easier and more fun!

A new start

I love Super Slow - I love the fact that it's only 20 minutes, I love that I feel stronger and more flexible, I love that I don't have to wear special workout clothes, I love my trainer, Winky, and Tom, too. I've been going for several years and will most definitely continue. "Super Slow" is super.

Rotator cuff pain...be gone!
Eight months ago my doctor told me that I would need surgery on my rotator cuff if I wanted to continue playing tennis. I decided to ward it off with physical therapy and a dose of Super Slow Zone. I now have full range, am back to playing tennis AND my doctor now tells me that I'd have to convince him that I need surgery! Thanks Thom and Winky for all your expertise and encouragement!

SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED LOWER BACK PAIN
I started the SuperSlow Zone program about 1 1/2 years ago after severe lower back pain forced me to stop martial arts training. After a couple of months, I noticed a significant reduction in pain. The studio is clean and bright with plenty of space between the machines. Tom and Winky are conscientious motivators who make the workout enjoyable. Only 20 minutes a week results in a noticeable improvement in overall well-being.

What a difference 20 minutes can make!
I started Super Slow five years ago in the Bay Area and was excited to see that I would be able to continue after my move to Carlsbad with Thom and Winky at Super Slow Zone. This protocol has really improved my physical well being. I am no longer stiff when I wake up in the mornings and being stronger make every aspect of my life easier. Thom and Winky are both wonderful to work with and very interested in helping me be healthier.

Best thing I've done for my self in years!
Since the very first day I started at Super Slow I have felt healthier and more fit. I cannot see myself ever stopping. It is time efficient and it works. Thom and Winky are both fun and encouraging. Super Slow Zone has changed my life!
I am a newly senior citizen who has had an office job (sitting) and have never exercised to any extent. I am very busy and do not have time to spend at the gym or showering or cleaning up after. I LOVE Super Slow Zone. It is the first and only exercise program I have stuck with (over a year now!) and am consistent with. I now have muscles! Thom is a fantastic Trainer. I recommend it highly!
