I first came to Cynthia after being told by a Physiatrist that I required carpal tunnel release surgeries on both hands &ulnar nerve transposition on both elbows. The issues were cumulative &brought on by a career in front of a computer. PT provided some benefit but many of the underlying musculoskeletal problems remained. Cynthia helped me pull out of a chronic state of pain that developed over 10 years. I credit her with changing the course of my health and quality of life.

A perfect massage. No wishy-washy spa tickling, but no elbow-digging deep-tissue dominatrix either. Cynthia's massage had a relaxing rhythmic flow that worked deeply into my gnarliest knots. Also, I loved her clean, bright office and the quiet ambient bird-songs recording she has playing in the background!

I recently injured my lower back hauling my bike up the stairs. Cynthia, worked on me after my chiropractic appointment, and I felt so much better. She worked all the muscles on my hips and helped the lower back release the intense pressure. I felt vastly improved the next day. Cynthia has worked on me before, after a ski accident, my shoulder and neck pain was totally fixed after my session with her. Listens well and understands my body. Thank you so much. You are amazing.

Cynthia is so skilled in her ability to find places in my body that I don't know need attention. These areas in lower back and shoulders seem to be key spots for many people and every time she finds them, I am surprised and grateful. Even while living abroad, I look forward to coming home to get a massage from her.

You can't go wrong with getting a massage from Cynthia. I've been seeing her for over twelve years, and I'm convinced that she's physic, she's so tuned into where to find the trouble spots. I can't recommend her highly enough! She's extremely knowledgeable about physiology and how muscles inter-relate.

I have been a client of Cynthia's for the last three years,after chemotherapy, every other week. I believe she has really helped me with the aches and pains in my arms (because of mastectomy), legs, and back.She is an excellent masseuse, and is very , very knowledgeable about how the body works. I'm planning to continue to get the massages for as long as I can, and recommend her to my friends, as well as on Angie's List .

Cynthia is hands down the best massage therapist around. I don't say that lightly. I have had massages from Hawaii to Italy, from the Claremont Spa to a massage school. Cynthia is better than any other - her training and practice in medical rehabilitation and massage for athletes as well as people with Fibromyalgia give her the skills to provide a truly healing as well as relaxing massage. I won't have a massage from anyone else.

I have had a bad back for 15 years and have been seeing Cynthia at Altered States for years. She is always able to help and in many cases completely head off what would otherwise turn into a major bout of sciatica and/or severe back pain. I appreciate her knowledge of how the body and muscles work and ability to explain it clearly, as well as her ability to do what actually works to get the muscles to relax. I have recommended Cynthia to friends and will continue to do so.

Cynthia does excellent work. Absolutely top notch. I am a competitive cyclist, and started using her half way through last season. The improvement was immediate. She understands the issues - the impacts of bike racing, as well as the racer's schedule, periodization and needs - helping with recovery from the ongoing stresses in-season to be ready for racing on the weekend - and with deeper recovery and healing during the off-season. And you can't beat her fair rate for a generous hour.

Cythnia has become a very bright spot in my life. I am still amazed at how she finds the problem "spots" and hones in like a missile after its target. How does she do that? The sweet relief isindescribable. I get up after each appointment feeling renewed, relaxed and pliable again.
