Our preschool has been visiting the CWB for many years and always find it to be one of the best field trips in the Puget Sound region. Lots to learn and do there. We even found sunshine!
We love the Center for Wooden Boats!

We cannot thank your staff and instructors at both the Cama Beach and Lake Union locations. We have been taking private sailing lessons and are so enjoying learning on the different boats you have available. We are so excited we purchased a Fairweather pass. We plan to boat as many good weather weekends as possible. Thanks for having flexible hours available. Special thanks to Gary and Christian our instructors for your patience!

As someone with no previous sailing experience, I opted for the private lessons and was very happy / impressed with the program. I did most of my training with Christian, but also sailed with Ned and Charles. All three were fantastic, knowledgeable and approachable instructors. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone who loves the water or just enjoys being outside in general!
Another successful trip to CWB

I have been taking groups of first graders to CWB for many, many years. The umiaq adventure allows the children to use hand tools to build boats and to paddle the umiaq. both activities are exciting, fun, and empowering. The day following the field trip, as the students were writing about their visit to CWB, they sang the paddling chant they had learned! Pure magic!

The Center for the Wooden Boats was a great experience for myself and the homeschool families. I enjoyed being out on the boat in nature in the middle of Seattle. The kids really got into the toy boat building, using hammers and nails to make a unique creatiin. We took the boats to the pond to flat them. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Many of the parents told me how much they enjoyed it. I look forward to going again.
