2 hour class
George Mullen - Aug 17, 2017
Charles was excellent with our 2 hour refresher. He was knowledgeable, professional, and patient. He signed off our check out, we rented a boat, and had a nice 2 hour sail.
The kids loved every minute!

The field trip experience at the Center for Wooden Boats was amazing! All of our kids loved making their boats and getting creative. They were able to bring their boat to the beach the next day and we had a race! Great skill building and all around fun!
Interesting and active

I have found the field trips to be wonderfully informative. The kids enjoy all the activities we do. It is truly a wonderful space to learn. The staff are patient and friendly.
Learning to Sail
Mark Mestel - Jul 29, 2017
I took sailing lessons decades ago; then stopped sailing. Since I haven't sailed in many years my wife and I decided to take lessons. We signed up for 7 private lessons. Our first lesson was a 2 hour lesson which served as a refresher course. Our instructor was patient and informative and allowed my wife and me to do all of the sailing. There was ample wind (somewhat of a rarity on Lake Union in the summer) and we had a wonderful time. Our second lesson was yesterday and equally enjoyable.
Great Program, Great Instructor
Bryce - Jul 28, 2017
We came to the Center with 20+ kids and I was a bit apprehensive bringing that large a group knowing that we would, for a portion of our visit, be on a boat. But, I had no reason to worry. The staff was great and our instructor was incredibly helpful. He taught our group how to construct little toy boats and, while on water, taught our students how to sing a row song that our kids are still singing days later. I can't say enough. Its a great program and a great staff! Thanks CWB!
