A Gettysburg Must!

My husband was skeptical, but went along with it. My little girl didn't want to dress up unless she could be a princess. But in the end, we all had a great time, and were delighted with the results. I would like to make this a regular family event!

Perfect trip beginning.

We began our Gettysburg visit at the studio and had our picture taken. They both took such a personal interest in making sure we looked great and the digital photo turned out like it was taken during the Civil War. These two are real professionals! She took one photo and that was it...perfect! The information they gave us also helped us on our way to the rest of our visit.

I felt like I was back in time.

This was an awesome experience. The photographer gave us a thorough background of the apparel that was worn in the 1860s and assisted us in "dressing up". She then explained the process of "wet plate" to us and posed us appropriately. After seeing the finished product, I would have thought that the photo was taken 150 years ago. We were impressed. I recommend that if anyone wants a "realistic" looking vintage photo, this is the place to go.

My family of five had a great time! The entire wet plate photo process was explained step-by-step. The owners were very professional and knowledgeable, as well as detail oriented. Nothing was overlooked. Definitely recommend! Thank you.
