This helped me so much!!

Anna helped me and I learned so much. Having someone review the vocabulary helped a ton. I would suggest this for anyone looking to improve their ASL.
1 on 1

The conversations are great in the book, but some of the signs I am not familiar with, so in 1 on 1 I have the opportunity of asking questions and understand the signs. When I go home I review and I can understand the signs conversations. I am impressed with the deaf community, everybody is super friendly and make their best effort to understand me.

It's the 3rd time that I go to the Lab to practice 1 on 1 and I can't be more happy about my learning process. I was always intimidated about signing but now, everyone is so friendly and even when I struggle with some signs the lab members are so patience and helpful. The tutors are amazing. I want to hang out there everyday. Too bad I have more classes to takr throughout the day.

We had another great session with a student worker who helped me and a partner work on a group project. She did a great job.

Using the ASL lab more than the "minimum required for class" can help you improve your grade by at least one or two letter grades. If a student worker or Deaf mentor isn't with another student, don't be afraid to ask if they have a few minutes to work with you. Everyone in the lab is helpful and I've had a few 1-1 sessions with Anna, who is awesome.
