Would recommend very highly. I saw Ashley so pain relief due to exercise, let her know where the problems areas were (back and forearms), and she did a remarkable job in finding the exact problem points and effectively eliminating the pain. She also managed to find a few other areas that were causing some problems as well. I will definitely repeat as needed

Michelle of coconut girls was great! They are professional and knowledgable about what creates tension and how to work it out. She worked on my neck/shoulder and lower back pain, even gave me some yoga poses to help loosen up to ease the pain! Go see them! You won't be sorry.

I called Michelle to see if there was availability for a couples massage. She gave my husband and I appointments for massages on the beach. The combination of sounds from the trade winds, ocean, trees -- plus a massage -- a must do over every time in Kona. I call Ken, the muscle whisperer. My husband's therapist was Jackie and don't let her size fool you -- she is strong if you want deep tissue. Mahalo Nui Loa.

Too expensive for what you get. Difficult booking/confirmation. Last minute beach location change. Good massage, though! Very public beach. Do not choose beach massage unless you are comfortable with being naked in public.

It was the best massage of my last 8 years of getting massage, this week I had Lindsay and Jaime come massage my wife and I on the beach- wow- these Girls have such skilled hands and healing hearts. I asked for a massage at the "office". To my delight, it was an earthy, Bali-like-shack behind a home. Perhaps not for everyone, but perfect for me. Birds were singing and the sun was setting, the temperature was lovely, and the massage was great. I will return.

After traveling and golfing my body was a wreck, I was cranky and irritable. I went to another massage place only to get a "fufu" oil rub down. A bartender at Huggos recommend me to "coconut girls"- so I made an appt. I was happy to see such Professionalism and creativity- A true Tropical sanctuary!. Jaime's neck techniques healed me. The concierge at our condo told us about these girls, the guy said they are healers and helped him with a bad shoulder injury. We set up a beach massage and my Therapist was a Healer, she found my pain spots and she said to me " it's ok- just let it go" I didn't tell her what I was going through- but she made me feel accepted and cared for. I got off the table and felt 100pounds lighter. I am so grateful! Thank you again-

I received a massage from Oriana and will never go anywhere else as long as I am on the island I was nervous at first when making an appt. because I had been extremely sore with a lot of tension stored up, but after telling her this she was able to cater my massage to my individual needs and was very warm and compassionate. I highly recommend her. The office was very warm and welcoming in general too and I am sure the other therapists are just as great. Go to this spa, you will love it!

my husband and I were staying at a 5 star resort and paid for couples massage @ hotel spa, both of us were so disappointed, over dinner we heard about "the coconut girls" and their "magic cushions" from a couple at the bar. We gave them a call and got an appointment for the next evening, the staff was Awesome, both my husband and I are huge fans and it was a fraction of the co$t for way better treatment. Will use coconut girls everytime from now on! Thank you so much we still feel great!

I booked a "beach massage" to try something different. I was completely transformed into an altered state of mind. Michelle gave me the "stress releiver lomi lomi" & it was the perfect mix of firm pressure and relaxation. The setting of literally being on the sand under a palm tree and hearing the waves....I will keep that in my memory forever,(especially going back to freezing cold east coast). Jacki worked ony very tight IT bands at the lavaman race expo and really helped. Had a great race. Followed up about 10 days later for a full hour for an upper hamstring/glute issue that was making running very painful and ultimately got to point where could not run. Jacki dug away on me and also used the hot stone. Very good treatment and back running. Highly recommend them.

First of all I have a sensitive skin an allergies, the staff uses food grade Organic Coconut Oil,& at the end of the treatment they use hot towels to wipe off the oily feeling that I had at the other places. The Therapist worked on my neck like I asked her to- and checked in with me about pressure to make sure I was comfortable! I will tell all my friends and put other reviews on-line for you guys- Great find in Kona! Thank you again, my headache is gone!

As an athlete, I travel and get massages regularly, this place is by far the best place I have been in over 30 countries. I saw their "van" and I loved their little stick figure images, made me and my mates laugh. The appointment was easy to get the time I wanted and as soon as I walked in the door, I felt organized and my heart rate started to come down. My Therapist made me feel like she really cared about how to help my body and mind relax. Oh and the custom table cushions..brilliant!!!

Alisa was our massage therapist and did an excellent job. Both my wife and I got a massage and it changed our entire day. That said, the process of getting to be massaged was much more laborious that it should have been. We booked online, but the company didn't recognize it. My wife and I got a massage from Alisa one after another, taking three and a half hours instead of one hour. Like the title says, great massage, fair experience. Never book this place online.

I will tell everyone to try the Blue Hawaiian, the massages are always the best cure for all the stress I deal with from work. Adding on the salt scrub, mineral soak, scalp massage & coconut milk body wash-oh and getting my hair shampooed and conditioned just makes me feel like royalty! I have been visiting Hawaii for years, gone to pretty much every other place looking for pain relief! I saw the sign above Costco, a warm friendly voice Convinced me to "walk-in". I was in shock, the spa is so beautiful, the walls, the art, the peaceful sounds... I was even happier when my Therapist actually went over a treatment plan for my 3 requests, totally healed me, & the cushioned table, wow great idea! I will be back! better service than 5 star Hotel, worth every penny!

I cannot remember my therapist's name(she had shortish hair. From Portland) but I was pleased with my massage. She is very skilled and the pressure was perfect throughout. My only complaint would be that in this economy $105 is just a little pricey for 1 hr.. Mahalos.

It's overwhelming to think about recovery with all the new gidgets and gadgets out. The Boots, socks, machines, chords, to name a few. I confess, I've used them all and like most of them...BUT... there is something so healing about actual hands on the body that truly brings life back into fatiqued, worked, tired muscles. Coconut Girls all have that ability to just feel what the body needs and work it out, bring it back to life, and heal it up.... SO thankful for those coconutty girls!!

To start my island 'stay-cation' I made an appointment with the Coconut Girls for some much needed assistance with stressed out neck and shoulder muscles. They were easy to find, friendly, professional, and did a very good job. My only real complaint would be to do with the on-line booking. It kept telling me to enter a valid phone number -- when I knew very well it was my number! What it didn't say was that it wanted area code as well as phone number [even for local numbers].

Read the story about this place and thought this would be a good place for a massage. This is a great place for a massage! Decor a little strange, but massage tables are really nice and have a real comfortable built up pillow base that is super-ergonomic. It was something new and good. Jain gave me a deep-tissue massage that was exactly what I was looking for. Jain was awesome! She was very attentive to my requests and I got a really good massage. Don't hesitate. Go.

I didn't know what to expect because of just how beautiful all the Therapists are at your spa. But I can honestly say I am now a regular customer here because you really have a God Given Gift for healing. I have been so stressed out working 2 jobs and raising a family. The Ambiance and Environment at Makua Spa is so Refreshing to walk into, I immediately felt relaxed just walking in the door, the temperature, sounds, and smells are Amazing! My Therapist was on time, friendly, and really listened to me and my body's needs. I'd never seen their pillow system before, but I have to admit, it was so comfortable to lay down on. The deepest massage I've ever had, but not painful, just Right. She used her intuition and her techniques were so effective. Pain Free!

Katrina was my masseuse and she was excellent! She established from the beginning that this was my time to relax and to feel free to talk or not talk, which was respectful. I LOVE the body cushion that really formed to my body and made me even more comfortable! My only complaint is that I wish the curtains that separated the treatment rooms would close securely so they didn't blow around while dressing/undressing ... a little uncomfortable for me. Good prices!

Each massage was a little different as it was customized to the individual and their needs - you don't usually get such personalized service. Each of the three therapists was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Most definitely will plan to do this again for ourselves and our guests. What a treat!

I was so comfortable during my tandem massage I felt like was floating... add to that the caring attention of two skilled therapists in a one-hour treatment and you have the ultimate massage experience. I understand that all of the massage treatments at the Makua Spa are done on the bodyCushion... Good call! My body was completely unloaded and relaxed even before they laid hands on me. I used to go to 1 massage therapist, until I heard a commercial a few years ago offering Tandem massages. Now, if I need a massage, I will wait until I am able to afford a Tandem massage--because having 2 massage therapists at the same time working on your body for 1 hour is....should I say.....HEAVEN! It's the best natural high I would recommend to A-NY-ONE!
