Nicole is great. She makes you comfortable and listens to everything you say. I have gone to her for several issues and I am getting results! She always has great recommendations and her prices on supplements etc. are usually cheaper than the stores. Love it!

Exceptional care
I originally went to see Nicole to help me with my most recent Crohn's disease flare-up because I was tired of the treatments my doctor gave me and wanted to try something different to help me heal. Not only has she been an integral part in helping to manage this flare-up, but she has helped me become more in tune with my body and helped with my overall wellness - not just focusing on the issues I have with my colon. I highly recommend her.

Wow!
I can't tell you how great Nicole and her people and acupuncture skills make me feel. It's amazing how beneficial her treatments are for my hemorrhoid and lower GI issues. She's also helped to reduce my stress levels and relax me. Nicole is a wonderful healer and I would recommend her to anybody seeking an alternative to Western medicine that actually works.

Worth the wait.
I've been seeing Nicole for about 6 months, and cannot speak more highly about her and her business. She is attentive, knowledgable, and takes time during each visit to conduct a thorough check-in conversation with her clients. Her work has been very helpful with my anxiety disorder. I would recommend her to anyone!

This year I relocated for my job, which means I moved over 4 hours from my acupuncturist. After a few months of driving back to see my former acupuncturist I took her advice and looked for someone close to my new home. I feel lucky to have found Pekoe. Nicole is a skilled and accurate acupuncturist. The energy work and aromatherapy is a wonderful compliment to each session. Nicole's herbal recommendations and at-home suggestions are helpful and practical.

Great acupuncture!
Nicole is a terrific acupuncturist. She has a warm and easygoing personality, and listens carefully to all symptoms and concerns. The acupuncture always feels great and is very relaxing. It's great for stress reduction as well as my various aches and pains. I would recommend her practice to everyone.

A great first visit
I went to Nichole for help with chronic ringing in my ears and pain in my abdomen and knee. She took the time to take a thorough history, provided accupuncture and energy work, and recommended a couple of supplements for my specific issues. I felt very comfortable there and plan to go back.

Plunge into the Alternative
Migraine. I did not want to go to my doctor and get a prescription, I went to Nicole instead. Her gentle touch and radiant confidence immediately put me at ease. She felt my energy, pin pointed where the tiny little pokes would go and I was in dream land. feeling no more pain. This was my first visit. I am going back.

Love my treatments at Pekoe
Nicole is a very talented acupuncturist - I highly recommend! I saw her previously when a cold just wouldn't go away - within a day of treatment my condition was much improved and subsided completely a few days later.

What kept me away so long?
It's been over a year since I last visited Nicole's sanctuary. It was fantastic to get those blockages opened. I'm doing my best to get an appointment for my wife so that she can realize the benefits of acupuncture and I think she'll visit soon.

I went for my initial visit on Tuesday afternoon and honestly have not felt this good physically, emotionally & spirituality in many years! I am so calm and centered and for the first time in over a year, was able to sleep on my right side due to the pain that subsided after my treatment. I rate Pekoe & Nicole 10 stars. Thank you! I can't wait for my next visit ;-)

Fantastic Experience
I had horrible back pain and had gone through physical therapy with no result. Nicole is a miracle worker! She was professional and soothing. With the treatment and after-care instructions, I am virtually pain-free. Highly recommended!

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical about this type of treatment. But, after meeting Nicole and having my first session of acupuncture I am open to the possibility that it will help me. Nicole is very special and I am anxious and optimistic for relief.

Very soothing
Nicole rocks!! She knows exactly what you need when you see her. She treated me for insomnia and for the first time in a very long time I slept very well. I woke up at 7:00 AM without waking up during the night, I haven't done that in years!

I I have found Nicole's acupuncture sessions to be incredibly relaxing and energizing at the same time, and her raku skills are amazing; they leave me in an absolutely calm state. I would recommend her clinic to anyone experiencing low levels of energy and/or stress.

Great Environment!
The office smells great with all the essential oils burning, not like your traditional Chinese acupuncture clinic. Nicole is very thorough. It was a great relaxing experience.

Amazing Acupuncture!
Nicole is amazing! I started seeing her nearly a year ago for constant headaches. While I still get headaches sometimes they are far less frequent. I am also noticing a huge improvement in my immune system this winter. I am someone who usually gets sick ALL THE TIME - I have had one cold all winter long. If you're looking for someone who is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional go see Nicole.

I've been going to see Nicole for over 2 years now and she is the best. Don't waste your time with other places like I did before meeting her. As the other reviews mention she is top notch. Very professional and the best.

I was introduced to acupuncture years ago, but stopped getting treatment about 4 years ago. Since I started seeing Nicole last June (for transitioning off ADD medication), I not only feel great, but I am sleeping better than I've ever slept in my life! If you've ever been curious, Nicole is amazing. Her treatments are not painful AT ALL, so if fear of needles has kept you from trying acupuncture, I recommend that you try her. Seriously, you won't regret it!

Return to normal
Serenity is what I found after a few minutes under the spell of Nicole’s calm and professional manner. Stress and body aches floated away as my frame of mind returned to a peaceful pose..,and my body fell into a deep soulful slumber for extra measure. Highly recommended.

Acupuncture virgin turned furture addict
I had always wanted to try acupuncture, but didn’t find it very affordable. I found the bloomspot deal and figured there was nothing to lose with the discounted rate. Nicole treated me for stress and anxiety, and I left the first session relieved and refreshed. Her professionalism and calming attitude made the entire experience much more enjoyable and relaxing. My colleagues have noticed such a dramatic difference in my demeanor that they will be booking appointments for themselves.

Great acupuncturist - Fantastic experience
My walk back from her office has to be the slowest thing I do all month. I leave relieved and refreshed. I started seeing her for tendinitis in my arm, now she's working on my back and my overall health. Never thought that I would love it so much - especially since I have a general fear of needles.

Fantastic acupuncturist in the Washington, DC area
I have seen several acupuncturists in the DC area over the years, and I just love Nicole. Her acupuncture produces results and she genuinely cares about her patients. The session is a full hour-- more than other acupuncturists in town, and she performs some aromatherapy-- just lovely. You will walk out of her office feeling physically wonderful and grateful that you just found a doctor who genuinely seeks to recuperate your wellness.

Results!
Not only has acupuncture been extremely helpful for my bad shoulder and headaches, but each session rejuvenates me for days! Nicole listens intently, takes notes, plans accordingly, and then provides a calm gentle experience that truly works. She is a star.

Acupuncture has been a part of my health regimen for a few years now, but this was the best experience I've had yet. Nicole is very attentive, the atmosphere is very soothing, and the treatment is effective. I would recommend Pekoe to anyone.

I found my healing partner!
For months I put off looking for a body worker, until a pain in the middle of my back forced me to take action. That day I received a Groupon for Pekoe, and am I glad! Nicole rocks!
She is incredibly professional and calming. Takes time at each appointment to talk to you about what is going on with you and plan the treatment accordingly. I am new to acupuncture, but have to say I'm hooked. She does a great job of making you feel at ease and explaining the process. She is accomodating and caring. Couldn't ask for more really. Very positive experience every time.

Great Experience
I had been wanting to try accupuncture to deal with managing my never ending stress, and I am so glad I found Nicole. Not only was the treatment itself very calming, but she was also very thorough in her explanations and follow up. Further, I went back and forth about a hundred times to try to find a time suitable for both at an incredibly short notice. And she responded to email instantaneously and managed to accomodate me very easily. Higly recommended. I have appts for the next two weeks, too

Nicole was very thorough and took her time with me, especially since this was my 1st time w/ acupuncture. I didn't even feel the needles and it was so calming and soothing. She also did some aromatherapy and like body work (cupping?). I'm looking forward to my next treatment!

Took about a month to schedule my new patient appointment, but Nicole was very personable and easy to work with. She carefully explained everything and answered my questions, and was so patient when I got lost on the way to her office! It was my first acupuncture experience, and it was very relaxing...so much so that I've already booked my follow up appointment! BTW, for those who've never been, you remain fully clothed during treatment. Thanks!

I can't imagine acupuncture gets much better than Nicole
after one friend, then two, raved about nicole, i hoped i'd found a new acupuncture therapist. and nicole is well worth raving about. i've read adrienne usher's review about nicole's personality and therapy style, and can't add anything else to it because it's so perfect. one terrific perk was being sent home with a couple of TCM treatments for my issues, and the extensive summary of her recommendations for how to work with your own issues in between treatments -all worth the price of admission!

An amazing experience
Nicole Mires is worth the wait - I say that because like anyone who is skilled at their profession, you have to schedule ahead to get an appointment. Nicole is friendly, warm, and very easy to talk to. She explains her treatment strategy in advance and provides an excellent summary of her recommendations for you to take home. I can't recommend her highly enough and felt better already after one session! I will be a regular client.

Cured my skepticism and my back pain
I went in very skeptical about acupuncture as a way to help with my chronic back pain, but after only 2 sessions I noticed a reduction in pain and increased mobility. In addition to the reduction in pain, it was an overall pleasant and relaxing experience. I am now a believer and Nicole is great at what she does.
