    Incredibly Knowledgeable and a Great Chiropractor

    I can't say enough for Dr. Roy's level of knowledge and depth of of understanding of the body. I have been seeing him for a year, rehabbing a traumatic Achilles injury to full health. Dr. Roy takes a comprehensive approach, and his services have gone much beyond my initial injury. I compete in trail and ultramarathon running at a high level, and he can answer just about any question I have about nutrition, foot strength, exercises to address muscular imbalances, etc. Highly recommended!

    Most Trusted Chiropractor

    I have known Dr. Roy for 3 years now and since my first session with him 3 years ago, he is the only Chiropractor that I see. He always has a plan of attack with any problems that I have. He is amazing, really listens to his patients. He always focuses on each patient 100%. Highly Recommended!

    Awesome!

    Dr. Roy was great to work with. He is knowledgeable, knew exactly what to work on and gave me some realistic, at home things to do. He wanted to be aware of my daily routine as far as exercise so I could continue doing what I'm doing. He encouraged the same routine and instead focused on ways to help my current issues while maintaining what I love! I would definitely recommend him!

    Terrific experience

    Dr. Settergren was terrific to work with. As a fellow runner, he absolutely understood my need/interest to get back running and gave me some great advice on strengthening exercises and post-run treatments to get/stay healthy. Great to work with and highly recommended!

    Miracle Worker

    Dr. Settergren has truly been a miracle worker. I originally went in for carpal tunnel. He made real progress with that and since then has treated pretty awful back pain and neck pain. He always fits me in for an appointment right away and I get immediate relief. So happy to have discovered ART and Dr. S! It works!

    Dr. Roy = Great

    I've been skeptical of going to a chiropractor for about 4 years for the fear of getting sucked into a year long program of unnecessary back cracks and exercises. Dr. Roy gave me a couple of exercises, a few adjustments, a deep tissue lower back blast. He said to call him in a couple of weeks if I still don't feel better. Wow, that's it? Dr. Roy could not have been more accommodating and friendly. I've already recommended him to other friends and will continue to do so.

    Highly Recommend

    I highly recommend Dr. Settergren and the work he does. I felt immediate relief after one session. He is very easy to talk to and articulate your goals and concerns regarding your injuries. He is very knowledgable and very open to my concerns and goals unlike many doctors who have the same cookie cutter approach. I definitely plan on returning for more treatment.

    Once again....amazing

    Thank you to Dr. Roy once again for taking care of me. I have been twice now over the course of about 6 months due to me over-exerting myself during a WOD. He knows exactly where to go and "fix me up". One thing I noticed after booking this time is that his schedule is a lot more open, I think that is due to his booking times changing. I was able to book same day which made me EXTREMELY HAPPY! High recommendations to the doc!

    Thank You Dr. Roy Settergren

    Dr. Roy Settergren is the honesty and trust that the chiropractic practice so commonly lacks. I have been twice, each time for a different injury that has been fixed. That sums up the quality of his work. 30 minute sessions with open discussions, and an open floor for questions. He brings a safe and comfortable environment to the table, as well as a wealth of knowledge. I would have no problem recommending Dr. Settergren to anyone with a problem.

    Excellent Service Great Treatment

    I had been having major pain in my shoulder and within 30 minutes Dr Roy was able to make about 90% of the pain go away. When I asked him about follow up visits he didnt like most chiropractors, schedule me for a 2x a week regimen but instead just told me to call him if the pain came back. He was friendly and effective and I would definitely reccomend him to anyone looking for a chiropractor in River North!

    Last minute apointment

    Lifting weights and riding a bicycle to work can sneak up on my lower back pain, (tight leg muscles the main issue). I was able to call and sneak in for a cancelled appointment that same day. Dr. Roy got me all fixed up and back in a state where i could manage myself (and hit the gym that same night!)

    Dr. Roy = Dr. Awesome!

    As an Ironman in training, constant aches and pains are just part of what you sign up for. Over the last several months, the seemingly endless hours on the bike and in the pool have turned my upper back muscles into a big funky mess. If it weren't for Dr. Roy's fabulous A.R.T. ministrations I have no doubt I'd be unable to even move my neck at this point. These days when anyone talks to me about their sports injuries, my reply is always the same "You must see Dr. Roy!"

    Effective, Professional, and Personable

    Dr. Roy has the right treatment philosophy and just like others who offer a service, it might just put him out of business. Nah, it wouldn't really do that BUT instead of trying to get you to come in for perpetual repeat treatments, Dr. Roy performs his professional procedures and teaches you how to correct the issue between visits. The ultimate goal is that the two of you have rectified the problem and that you never have to see him again. I am well on my way already!

    A fan favorite!

    Dr. Roy has helped me thru foot surgery rehab, a tibial plateau stress fracture and other ailments with such patience and knowledge. I couldnt have made it without him!

    Very Knowledgeable

    I have been having running problems for over a year. Dr. Roy is the 4th health care professional I've seen and the only one who was able to help me. All it took was 1 visit, and I am already on my way back into running. I highly recommend Dr. Roy as he is knowledgeable, friendly, and definitely the best out there!

    BOOK NOW AND GET BETTER NOW!!!

    It was long over due when I finally scheduled my first appointment with Dr. Roy! Unlike other offices I visited Dr. Roy tried to get to the bottom of what was happening with my elbow on DAY 1, instead of just talking he takes action and I never had to go back, at least not for that same reason! Any time I have something come up I have confidence that one visit with Dr. Roy will get me back into the gym and on track!

    Perfect

    Dr. Roy released a nasty frozen muscle that has been bothering me for weeks. He helped me out with the other complications and answered all of my many questions. He is very knowledgeable and I wish I would have gone in sooner. Thanks!

    Amazing first visit

    I was given the name of Dr. Roy by a friend at my Crossfit gym. About 2 weeks prior I managed to really mess up my lower back and I did not feel like I was getting any better. After my initial visit with Dr. Roy, I walked out of there feeling so much better it was amazing. I was shocked that the few things that he did were able to make such a big difference, but it worked and I am finally headed back to the gym. Thanks Dr. Roy!

    Changed my life :)

    Dr. Roy saved my life! I have been dealing with chronic back pain for five years and gone through many session of physical therapy. These sessions made NO improvement on my pain. It was difficult to walk or sit for more than half an hour without taking strong pain killers. Then I found Dr. Roy! It only took two sessions with him to do what doctors were unable to do for me in five years. It is truly amazing what he has done for me. Thank you so much Dr. Roy!

    Super Doc

    As we all get older, our bodies start to break down. Dr. Roy has fixed my torn calf muscle and has fixed my newly strained quad tendons. He has made sure I am good to go for Ironman Austria in 3 weeks. As I try and find excuses to have a slow day, Dr. Roy fixes me. Thanks Dr. Roy!

    Miracle worker :-)

    This was my first time to a chiropractor and was a bit scared. Thank God I went to see Dr. Roy as he made my back pain magically go away. Was back on the court the very next day and won. Made me feel comfortable from the start, can't imagine a more qualified or competent doctor. Go see him immediately!

    Every City Needs a Dr. Roy!

    Dr. Roy is hands down the BEST chiropractor I have seen. As an ultra distance runner there's a lot of stuff that pops up in training/racing and Dr. Roy is the only person I trust to keep me running and racing year round. He really knows his stuff and I feel confident I'm getting the best care every time. He is a top notch professional and he gets the athlete mindset because he's an athlete too.     Excellent practioner

    Dr. Roy is one of the best A.R.T providers I have been to. As an Olympic athlete I have been to several chiropractors, and Dr. Roy is at the top of the list. He is very thorough and gets results within one or two visits. He is very professional and is a fellow athlete so he understands the needs of elite athletes. I do recommend him to all my friends and coworkers.

    Great, Accessible service

    Dr. Roy has forgotten more about an athlete's body than I could ever learn, and he uses that knowledge to aggressively treat your ailment. He's easy to get in touch with, personable, and available to help when your schedule allows. I'd recommend him to anyone who is serious about their body and who wants to get back to 100% asap. What he does isn't easy, but its the most beneficial treatment you can undergo short of surgery.

    Make an appointment today.

    I've been working with Dr. Settergren for over a year now. I credit him for staying nearly 100% healthy during grueling powerlifting training and competition. I came to him with a rotator cuff tear and shoulder arthritis (+other issues) and his treatments have helped me become basically pain free; now I visit regularly on a pre-hab basis and have never felt better. I've been to several others in the past--but he is by far the best. I trust him 100% and would recommend him without hesitation.

    An excellent doctor

    I saw Dr. Settergren for chronic shoulder pain that was making it very difficult for me to play basketball. His treatments were incredibly effective; he got me back to 100% capacity with no more pain. On top of that, he has a terrific "bedside manner"; he takes genuine interest in his patients' lives and well-being, and he is patient and never seems hurried during appointments. I would recommend him to anyone.

    Every time I visit Dr. Roy I feel better within days, if not hours. I tell everyone that has a sports injuries to go and see him. Great person and he knows what he is doing!

    Like a million bucks

    Dr. Roy is great, immediately improved my sprained ankle and helped put me on the road to a full recovery. This is my second sports-related injury that I have gone to Dr. Roy for, and he has yet to disappoint. Great experience.

    Satisfaction? Amazing

    Three people at my company recommended Dr.Settergren when I had back trouble. They all had utilized his talents and thought he was great. A good chiropractor is one to treasure. A few weeks ago my friends foot hurt, he made sure she had an MRI, and it turns out it was fractured. Dr Roy takes those extra steps to make sure his patients are happy, satisfied, and in good health - it's almost a obsession with him to go those extra steps

    Best Sports Doctor in the World!!!

    I have been a patient of Dr. Settergren for about a year. When I first went to see him I was suffering from a bad case of plantar fasciitis, not only was I sidelined from running, but walking had become painful. One of my running buddies had suffered from pf and was fixed by Dr. Settergren and recommended I see him. Not only did he completely fix my pf, but he did it in 5 weeks AND I was able to run while I was being treated! He is the ONLY doctor I will see for my sports injuries and needs.

    Already scheduling my next visit

    Saw Dr. Roy on the referral of 3 co-workers. My range of motion was dramatically incresed after first visit. No nonsense treatment. Very knowledgeable. After having been to national chain rehab center where you're one of three patients per therapist, the personal one-on-one treatment is refreshing!

    Shoulder Pain

    Dr Roy After just seeing Dr Roy twice my shoulder range of motion improved greatly. Worth a try if you are in pain or lack range of motion. Whish I had gone sooner!!!!!

    Fabulous Doctor with Amazing Results!

    I came to Dr. S after dealing with a nagging knee injury for about a year. I was immediately impressed! He took the time to learn about my injury and properly diagnose the problem. He began treatment right away, and after only 4 treatments I am almost back to 100%. Dr. S is a genuine person who truly cares about his patients, and wants to get them back to their desired activity quickly. He is very knowledgeable and it is evident he loves what he does! I highly recommend him to everyone!

    Great Experience

    I was recommended to MS&S by a friend and am so glad I took her advice. Dr. Roy was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. He took the time to really understand my symptoms, explain his diagnosis, and walk me through his treatment. After just one visit my symptoms were greatly diminished.

    Dr. Roy will get you back in order!

    I have been nursing a back strain and tendonitis for months, knowing I should have both looked at but hoping they would just get better. Well needlessly to say neither healed and finally booked na appointment with Dr. Roy. After the first visit, I experienced marked improvement and felt very foolish for procrastinating!! If you want to get better make the appointment!!

    Excellent first session

    Having been going to Cross fit for nearly a year I have reached a stage where my injuries are holding me back from moving to the next stage. Dr S was able to pinpoint straight away what my injuries were and was thorough in his examination. He answered all my questions so that I could understand them. If all the other sessions are as good as this first one I'll be over the moon!

    Critique of Midwest Sport and Spine

    Dr. Roy is a very knowledgeable professional who takes his time developing the best course of action. I have an L5-S1 (lower back fusion) that causes me fatigue and pain. Dr. Roy has done a great job in helping me to eliminate my pain through manipulative therapy, ART, and physical therapy exercises. I would recommend him 100%

    Efficient and helpful

    Went to Dr. Roy based on rave reviews from people at my gym. I was having shoulder tightness/pain and he found the right spots to work on almost immediately, and I could feel the benefits just as quickly. It was a really relaxed and friendly environment, but still professional. Definitely happy I went and would certainly go back.

    Knows his stuff

    I went to Dr. Roy for a problem I have been having with my hamstring. Within minutes, he had asked all the pertinent questions and figured out exactly what was wrong. He used a variety of techniques (hands, needles, ultrasound), and I felt much better walking out than I had walking in. And like everyone else has said, he's just a cool guy to boot. I would recommend Dr. Roy to anyone.

    A Chiropractor who asks the right questions

    I have gone to many Chiropractors over my life. They have ranged from poor to good. I had a wonderful experience at Midwest Sport and Sprine. I was asked questions from top to bottom on what my history was and what i was now experiencing. When i was finally touched, it was with full knowledge of what he was doing and how eveything connected to my historical problems. I was given homework, which strangely i didn't mind and will be back next week. I feel much better after 1 treatment!

    Worth the visit

    I was recommended to Dr. Roy by way of Atlas Cross Fit. I am training for my first half marathon and want to make sure I am doing everything possible to minimize the impact on my body and minimize any possibility of injury. I was really impressed with Dr. Roy's knowledge, professionalism and great personality. I would definitely recommend Dr. Roy to anyone needing a great chiropractor.

    Amazing!!

    I've been hearing a ton about Dr. Roy from quite a few people in my gym. After having my shoulder injured for around 3 months, I figured I would give in and see if he was worth the hype. Holy hell, my shoulder feels FANTASTIC. I came in (5 minutes late, mind you), sat down, and described what was going on. In just a few moments, he figured out exactly what was going on and started correcting it. Very knowledgeable, clear with explanations, and just a nice guy to boot. Highly recommended!!!

    Dr. Greatness = Dr. Roy

    Dr. Roy is easy and pleasant to work with and truly care about his patient well being. His techniques have proven to be better than other Chiroprator that I have visited in the past, I'm healing faster than before. My friends are coming his way. :)

    Dr. Roy is awesome!!!

    Dr. Roy was recommended by a friend. I didn't know what to expect, but when I saw him for initial appointment he was amazing. He was patient , knowledgeable and he explained things to me very clearly. He gave me his 100% attention which I really like. He answered all my questions and more. He exceeded my expectation for an initial consultation should be. I definitely will continue on working with him and would not hesitate to recommended him to my friends.

    Roy is the best!

    As an athlete my whole life with my first injury, I didn't know what to do or who to see when my back was hurting. Roy was recommended from a friend and couldn't have been more of a help. Not only is my pain down from an 8.5 to a 2 in just three visits, he has taken the time to walk me through any questions I had and what I can do at home to aid in his physical therapy. I will recommend him to anyone who has an injury or pain.

    Recommended over and over again

    I didn't know what to expect with the Active Release therapy but needed to find a way to try to loosen up my neck and shoulders. Roy was fantastic. I feel 10x better now and will continue to have him work on me.

    Dr. Roy is a prince.

    I was in Chicago visiting my in-laws. My lower-back was in a great deal of pain from a strain I'd suffered a week earlier. But more generally, my back has been in terrible shape since I left the Marines. Dr. Roy not only alleviated the immediate problem, he put me on a program for long term recovery.

    Why wouldn't you?

    Between Crossfit and rugby my body is always ailing in one way or another. Dr. Roy is flexible getting me into his office, and has worked on different injuries with great success. Now I know that I also don't have to wait to be hurt/injured to go see him, as regular ART/chiropractic care is be part of a healthy exercise regimen.

    Awesome

    I went to see Dr. Roy after a back injury suffered playing soccer. Booking the appointment was easy, he attended me immediately and did a great job of telling me what was wrong and how to fix it. He worked on my back for about 20 minutes and it has felt much better since. I will be coming back if I feel any pain in the future.

    Fantatsic

    I went to Dr. Roy because I threw out my back. I had never seen a chiropractor before, so I was a little nervous. After getting rave reviews from my boyfriend and knowing he works on a lot of athletes it made me at ease. Dr. Roy was very personable, a great listener, and did a wonderful job at maneuvering/massaging/stretching out my back. I was able to walk out of the appointment with significantly less pain. I highly recommend him for your chiropractic needs.

    When nothing else has worked...

    I went to Dr Roy after giving up on constant elbow and shoulder issues. The results were amazing. In 4 visits the pain was gone and the range of motion was back to normal. Dr Roy is excellent at his job and explains everything to you. He is the best!

    Miracle Worker!

    Dr. Roy Settergren

    Dr. Settergren is outstanding. I first went to him for an ongoing neck and back issue that prior doctors had treated. His active release method of treatment is unbelievable - no repetitive visits - he treat me and I'm good to go within a matter of minutes. Part and parcel of his great service is his terrific personality and easy-going manner. I highly recommend him!

    Amazing!

    I have had a bad shoulder for longer than I can remember. Dr. Roy worked on me four times I have not had any pain since!! If you are active and have any pain Dr. Roy is your guy.

    Best Doc I've Seen

    I am an accomplished triathlete and have been to my fair share of sports medicine docs in my day. Doc S has been by far the best I have ever been to. He took the time to explain my injury to me, and how his treatment would fix the problem. He was able to get me back to 100% quicker than any other doc I have seen. I would recommend him to everyone, and especially to athletes looking to continue training while they are treated.

    Great Sports Dr.

    i am an avid competitive marathoner and am VERY picky with who I will see for injuries/ailments. I was immediately impressed with Roy. He understood my desire to not take time off from training, but really address the underlying issue - not just a quick fix. He was very thorough and scientific in his approach.
