I was able to spend two hours with the tech and i found him to be very knowlegable about both the gps and the software used on the computer to create the routes I want to ride. I know I still have a lot to learn, but my session gave me a real boost and got me started in the right direction.

During a private session, Gary helped me understand and maneuver my Garmin like a pro. By the end of the session he was also helping me find new bike routes around the city. Amazingly helpful and well worth it.

Having no experience with the G1000 unit I went to the garmin store for their g1000 simulator training. At less than the cost of ground school, this is time well spent and the instructor is easy to work with and at the end of our time together made sure of any followups i would need. Now if only parking on michigan ave was easier.

I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with my new Garmin device after trying to set it up for several weeks. I scheduled a 1 hour training session with the representative and it was the best use of my time. The representative was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Now I can say that this was a great investment of time and money!

Without the class I would have been lost. There was NO documentation (except the quick start, which was not adequate). The tutorial saved me and the tutor was very good.

I just bought a Nuvi 2474LT car GPS (I had previously used a Nuvi 1370LT) and it is significantly better - faster, more memory and a more useful interface. I do wish it had a volume control button on the screen instead just a mute switch. I had a training session with Robert at the Garmin store on Michigan Ave in Chicago and he was extremely knowledgable and courteous. I drive in several countries in Europe 2-3 times a year and found my older 1370LT unit to work very well there.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE. TRAINNING MET OUR NEEDS....BUT..... THE MOST IMP ASPECT OF TRAINNING WAS CONNECTION TO MY GARMIN. WE WERE NOT ADVISE THAT THERE IS NO WIFI IN THE GARMON STORE. THE END RESULT WE HAD TO COME BACK 3 TIMES TO ASSURE WE COULD NOT ONLY USE THE WEB SITE BUT THAT WE COULD UPDATE THE SOFTWARE. FROM THE MECHANICAL ASPECT OF TAKING US THROUGH THE FORERUNNER ITSELVE. THE JOB WAS DONE WELL.

Anyone who has purchased a Garmin GPS device should take advantage of this program. My trainer was intimately familiar with all aspects of my device--and not just a professional knowledge but also a daily personal knowledge. My trainer was patient and thorough. He went over on the time allotted. I'm really glad I did this.

I recently purchased a Garmin Edge 800. Yesterday I had an appointment for a "One-0n-One GPSAcademy" with Gary Mitchell. Gary was very knowledgeable. He gave me a hands-on demonstration, detailing how the unit worked and all the different possible data displays. Garmin makes an excellent product, and their staff is fantastic.

I am completely direction impaired. Our tutor was so charming and grounded that I was flying thru the prompts. I had lots of anxiety in regards to finding the airport and more but saw I could relax and enjoy the vacation.

Received an excellent demonstration of the future of aviation avionics. I would recommend this hour tutorial to any certificated pilot whether they've flown in a glass cockpit or not. Incredible amounts of information at the fingertips, explained simply and thoroughly.

I attended the Garmin one on one training with Dan and was beyond thrilled. The unit is fairly self explanatory on the very basics, so Dan was able to show me all the fun and really valuable extra features that I would never have known was there. I appreciate that I will be able to use more features on my Garmin than I knew were even there!

My wife and I attended the product demonstration after qwning a Garmin GPS unit and up-grading after purchasing the map up-date a year later. We thought we knew our way around its functions after using the new unit for a couple of months. We were surprised (and pleased) to see that we were able to get much more from the GPS unit after the demo. Sure we could press the buttons and get from here to there in the Chicago area where we now live. Yet after the demo, we are pros!

Definitely take advantage of this opportunity when you buy a product from Garmin. I have a forerunner watch and after an hour with the rep, I walked out feeling like I was able to utilize everything that the watch offered. I recommend spending some time first on your own, familiarizing yourself with the basic features. Then schedule the appointment and skip to the more advanced, cooler stuff. In any event, the hour session is well worth your time. You will learn something new.

Just bought my first GPS, Nuvi 1450LMT. I'm a latecomer to the hi tech world, and am impressed at how the Garmin expert, was able to explain clearly and patiently all its amazing functions. It was all hands-on so that I was operating the Nuvi and not the instructor. He answered all my questions and invited me to contact him if I wanted more instruction. I'm so glad I purchased a Garmin at the Garmin store where every buyer gets a free tutorial. It can't be beat! Thanks, Gary!

Just completed orientation for the Forerunner 110 and was amazed at the simplicity of its operation. The options available are amazing and the staff trainer was excellent. He was patient to a fault, and gracious and attentive with his time, as if he had nothing else to do in this world!
