I scheduled a lesson with Brad for my daughter- TJ. He really listened to our goal for the practice and helped TJ tremendously. He was patient and very motivating. I enjoyed listening to the tips. Tariah was more confident in her game after just one lesson. We will definitely be seeing Brad again.

Two terrific lessons!

The two lessons I have taken so far from Rob Schmidt rank among the handful of great lessons I have taken in the 60 years I have been taking them. He has an orthopedic knowledge of what the body can and cannot do; and he was able to give me (despite my age and my worn-out knees) a real forehand for the first time.

Great lesson for beginners under age 12

Rob gave a duo lesson to my 2 daughters, ages 9 and 11. He helped each one develop their individual level and skills while working with them as a team as well. My husband and I were very pleased with his insight and comments to us after the lesson as well.

Brad is awesome

One of the best lessons I've had. He has an easy-going demeanor but analyzes your swing carefully. Pointed out that I might do better with an open-stance forehand instead of my closed-stance which I've been hitting for 25 years. Made a lot of sense and by the end of the lesson, I felt like it was a more natural swing for me. I highly recommend him with no reservations!

excellent tennis program

Jim McDonald understands how to run a top notch program. Everyone in his group is positive and very professional. They teach kids the gentleman's game of tennis "for life". We appreciate the teaching and programs which include lessons, clinics and match play. Clinics are run a a good clip so kids hit lots of ball and get lots of instruction. What a positive experience! Hats off to Jim and his staff!

An outstanding club

This has got to be the best place for tennis in our area. I've been a member of Hollow Rock for many years, and it's been a source of many friendships, first rate tennis play and instruction, and fun social events. The cost is very reasonable for what you get, and there's not an ounce of snobbishness about the place. My wife and I plan to downsize, and one of our criteria is that the new house can be no more than 15 minutes from Hollow Rock.

Mike is great. He is very patient with me, a beginning adult tennis player, and my friend who is more experienced but with old school habits. I know as a professional it can be frustrating teaching brand new beginners, but he never skips a beat, professional and patient the whole way through. I've taken many lessons over the years and I've not found anyone who is a better diagnostician or who has a better bag of tricks and visualizations to improve your play more quickly than Jim. I had a wonderful tennis lesson with Reika at the Hollow Rock Racket Club. She diagnosed a problem I had been experiencing with my backhand in a matter of minutes and provided the solution almost immediately (something I've spent hours trying to figure out). Taking a Great lesson

Just finished a lesson from a new pro (she also plays #1&3 for Duke) who really understands not only how to stroke a ball, but how to reduce unforced errors! She has a "keep it simple" lesson plan, and for me, it really worked to reduce my unforced errors. It was sorta like "send the ball back OVER the net in the same way it was sent to you and wait for the short ball which should be here anytime!" This little mind set allows you to relax and wait for your shot. Ask for Reka!

Best Lesson Ever!!

I'm a 3.0 player with basic skills who loves tennis. But no matter how much I played, I couldn't get better, and I suffered one injury after another. My lesson with Jim was fantastic! I learned the correct way to hit a forehand, a backhand, and a serve. And how important it is to do each with patience and rhythm.
