I found the room chilly, masseuse was sensitive and offered me a blanket. Which I appreciated, music was very loud and disturbing, I asked the therapist if it could be lowered and she did. She offered me water at the end which was a nice gesture but didn't bring it. I am writing this review for constructive criticism.

I started trying the zen-face rejuvention as an alternative to a swedish massage. This last session was particularly wonderful as I was fortunate enough to have two very qualified students.One worked on my, face area; the other on my legs and feet.The only reason I did not succumb to sleep is that I did not want to miss the wonderful sensation of two therapists working simultaneoulsy. I know this was an unusual treat, but I am very grateful to have been the recipient

I have been coming to the school for about 10 years and have always been pleased with the service. The student that I had on Saturday for a 2 hour massage was "Wonderful". Keep in mind that they are students, but tips are always appreciated you are already getting a great deal!

It was a great massage. First they exfoliate your skin with a brush. Next, you are massaged with the mud. Then you are wrapped with foil and washed down with hot towels. The massage took 1 hour and 30 mins and only $45.00! wonderful for the price.

I have been coming here for years. It does not have the ambiance of Nordstroms but it is the same level of a massage. If you get a massage for the massage and not the zen like spa experience this place is awesome.

Wonderful Massage! Was not sure what to expect, but truly enjoyed it. If you are a very private person may not be for you separated by curtains. I would say try it you could be pleasantly surprised. Will be back!

Thought my person was good. I felt she did every part BUT I would have preferred more time on my back and neck which are my problem areas. I felt to much time on my legs and arms, which was ok but not what I preferred. Also, I did feel like as the sheets were moved around I felt like I was being diapered. It was so apparent and seemed time comsuming.

My first AMT massage experience was a terrific value. I am used to paying twice as much. I made my appointment online and received a confirmation. I arrived a little early and found the environment very clean and welcoming. My student massage therapist was cheerful and polite. She is a skillful professional in training and I intend to be a regular at AMT. One thing, there is free parking on the side street. I did not know this and ended up paying for parking. Loved it!

I like that the Academy makes room on their appt schedule when possible for clients on short notice. Because of this I find myself going more often. Wonderful experience, and great price. The students do a really good job at listening to their clients before starting the massage which I appreciate.

Yesterday, I had the best massage of my life. I've traveled all over the world treating myself to massages along the way. Yesterday's massage topped all. It was so good that I actually fell asleep. (not long phew...) My only complaint is the other patrons sometimes talk and they are not considerate to others when getting a massage. Everyone is nice and friendly. Even the desk help!!! I would highly recommend the "Academy of Massage" to everyone

The students at the Academy of Massage Therapy are as good or better than places which charge twice or triple the price at the Academy. The rooms is dim and pleasant music is played through our the hour long massage. Each cubicle has a large comfortable massage table and the students are very well trained. They ask what area you would like them to concentrate on, how deep a massage you would like and they don't talk during the wonderful massage.

This was my 1st visit and I'm really glad I went. The facilities are basic but clean and well maintained. If that is something you can do without, this is a great place to get a massage. I had a fantastic Shiatsu massage done by a student who is about to graduate, and he was really good: skilled, explained everything he was doing (I asked), and provided some follow up insights. I got home and made a 2nd appt!

I decided on a Shiatsu massage and was glad that I tried the Academy. Everyone was very friendly and my Therapist was very good throughout the session. She was enthused and it made me feel good that she explained everything that was happening. She was gentle and aware. I would definately recommend the Academy to anyone, it's a great service for both the customer and the student. I do plan to come back soon.

I was a little sceptical at first, thinking that the massages performed by students would not be as good as those performed by a "professional" masseuse. I was wrong and very pleasantly surprised! The massage was good and relaxing in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Just what I needed. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a no frills massage. It is not a spa and not meant to be one. It is, however, a very good massage place and I am looking forward to going again!

Frank did an absolutely wonderful job as my masseuse. I always get nervous when I have a massage and he immediately made me feel comfortable. I only hope that I get someone like him the next time with my massage. I feel so much better today and can actually feel some of the stress gone since I had the massage. I wish I could do it weekly.

I come in about twice a month for a massage. The students are always curteous and well trained. The therapist that worked on me was very intuitive, located all tense and sore areas on my back and neck and paid them special attention. I gave it 4, instead of 5 stars because though my recent experience was fantastic, there is variability amongst students in quality. Overall though, they're the best work for the price. And often (as in my last experience) they're better than places twice the price.

I had one of the best massages ever. I ususaly spend anywhere from $70 to over $100 for an hour massage. The masseuse here was fantastic. She gave me a hard deep massage. One of the best areas was my feet, where other masseuses usually tickle me and make me tense up, she went hard and deep on my feet which felt so great. When I left, I felt 1000% better than when I walked in. My lower back, which usually aches all the time, felt pain free. There was no talking, just total relaxation.

If you need a great massage and want to help students refine their skills this is the place to go. Everyone was kind friendly +professional. The massage was great. I was treated with respect and dignity. Left feeling so much better as the tension + the knots in my shoulders had been reduced greatly and stress seemed to dissolve as the knots did. I will be re- booking for next month guaranteed!

I was surprised how professioinal and polite the student was. The school is no spa so you need to get the idea out of your head and focus on the important thing....the massage. If you want the frills then go to a spa. But if you want a great massage at a great price then definitely try one of the students. Highly Recommended.

I got my first shiatsu massage. I will tell you OMG. Its not what people think of. Its more like someone doing yoga to your body helping to open up your joints and stuff. It felt great when all was said and done. Its definetly a massage to relax you but stretch you out too. I would go over and over for one! The people there were professional and the therapist was AWESOME! REALLY!!

You have nothing to loose. These kids are learning. My therapist was realy good, she used lots of pressure and I enjoyed it. Yes, its loud and tables are devided with curtains, but still good.

All in all it was a wonderful experience. Massage was very thorough and relaxing. The only thing I would suggest is that they move the tables to the other side of the room away from the windows as the traffic noise from the street below was a distraction.

I have been a customer of the Academy of Massage Therapy for about 4-5 years now. It is a great opportunity to get a really great massage for low cost. The students are well-trained, polite, professional and tailor their style to the clients needs. I like deep soft-tissue and while the services can differ slightly due to different masseuse talents -- I can say I've had several of the BEST massages of MY LIFE at AMT!!! I am SOLD on the Academy of Massage Therapy!

I've had an incredibly stressful couple of months. I had the massage in the morning and it was the first time in all those months that I've felt good ALL DAY! My therapist was very sensitive to my needs and very thoughtful and gentle. Let's face it, having half an hour massage is so crude, but a full hour will make u go bankrupt. Not here! I highly recommand it.

Temp, was good music pretty good I liked that the masseuse did not ' click ' the tube of the cream/ lotion all the time but had a pump, I find that it usually interrrupts the relaxation during the session, she also kept her hand on while moving to another position which is ' comforting and doesn't disturb the flow of the massage.

I received a professional, excellent, and effective massage. Knots in my back and neck that I had been trying to deal with through relaxation and meditation techniques for months without success were fixed with one session. Highly recommend AMT, and I will be back!

had a great time and the price is just right. the students are good! best bang for the buck. the only thing they can improve is to provide cover for the massage area. there are curtains but only cover sections of the massage area. it would be nice to have complete cover. other than that, i had a good time

I found the massage to be very good, and the therapist was very helpful. I had a particular problem with stiffness and she offered a few ways to help it, which really did relieve some of the pain. I would definatly go again if I would need it.

In order to shed over 40 pounbnds ds I run 2.5 miles every day. At the end of the week my 489 8 year old body is batter and bruised. So, I head out for a one -hour massage at AMT. The therapist are always very good and help relieve my sore and aching muscles. i highly recommed this !

I have enjoyed my experiences at the Academy of Massage Therapy. I am sure to schedule my bi-weekly visits to not only help with the release of every day stressors, but to also continue to receive treatment to problematic areas in my back and sciattica.
