Took a shot...
We all know the feeling of hiring a contractor for the first time. I read some reviews on Pitstop, and gave them a shot. Not only was he on time, he worked on the diswasher, repaired it, and only charged me the $65 service call. How often does that happen? A Class act! Very difficult to find these days! Still strongly recommended even my problem was not solved.
The technican was here two times and was always on time. He was friendly. The problem was not fixed because of the depth of the problem. He recommended us to talk to GE directly. We were not charged anything. I feel bad because of the time he has spent on us. I still recommed the company and will use them if I have other problems with my appliance.

Pitstop recently diagnosed my pro blem and arrived with the spare part needed to fix the ice maker in the refrigerator and solved the problem completely. I called on a Monday and my issue was fixed on a Tuesday. Very happy with the service. A bit pricey, they charge $65 for stepping into your door, then additional labor.

This is the 2nd time I have used Pitstop. After dealing with "dispatchers/schedulers" from other companies (like GE and Sears) who are booking appts 1-2 weeks out, it was refershing (again) to go on line on Saturday, book an appt for 10am on Monday, and have them show up within the 2 hour window.

Quick, Honest, Helpful Service
After a different repair company cancelled my appointment last minute, I did a quick Google search and found Pitstop Appliance. I was able to make an appointment same day within 2 hours using the easy online appointment site. The repairman that came over quickly determined the problem with my dryer. He even showed me this was an easy part to swap out that I could do myself and save a little money. It was all very helpful and I highly recommend Pitstop.

I have had Josh to our house on two other occasions for two other appliances and have been very happy with his work and customer service. This time it was our microwave, I sent him a message that the issue was our Magnatron was shot. He came to the house looked at it said the magnatron is shot and that we should call GE because its still under warranty. I feel like he could have given us a call before he came out and charged us $70 to tell us what we already new.

Highly Recommended
When we moved into our home and discovered that our Thermidor professional range wasn't working properly, Pitstop was called and a repairman came to asses the problem. He was about 30 min. late for his first visit. After parts arrived, he returned (on time) to make the repairs. Unfortunately 2 pieces came incorrectly from the manufacturer so he must return another time. He was a very nice guy, super knowledgeable and very professional. It was easy to make the appointments on line.

My dryer wasn't working. He checked and fixed the belt, did not charge for a new belt, because that was was still good (thank you), arrived on time and fixed my dryer in no time. He's also repaired my washing machine in the past and I had the same experience. He's always reliable and very honest.

I had had enough with my dishwasher on Thursday night at 10pm! I found Pitstop online, made an appointment for the next day (and threw in another appliance while they would be at the house). Josh arrived just a few minutes after the beginning of the scheduled window. He was knowledgeable and professional and was quickly able to resolve both issues for a very reasonable fee. Sunday afternoon, my dryer decided to not heat. Since I purchased the dryer at Sears, I decided to call them first thing on Monday morning. After a few minutes of investigation, it was determined that our refrigerator had seen better days and it was time to say goodbye... In the aftermath of Irene, washer died. A&E could only book appointments three weeks out, Pittstop was only a week. The gentleman was professional, informative and sorry to tell me that the washer wasn't worth fixing. I appreciated his honesty and would definitely use Pitstop's service again.

excellent service
on a friday night our stove stopped working, i went on line and booked an appointment for the next morning, they came and fixed the stove in less than a half hour. It was so easy and the service was excellent. The only thing we were confused about was why we had to pay for a service call and the labor it seems like the service call fee should have been taken off the labor fee.

Honest, professional, timely. I had not used my dryer for months because it did not heat up when I turned it on. Pitstop technician (Josh) came to look at it and told me it wasn't broken probably just a computer glitch. It is working perfectly and I am so grateful for his honesty. Great Service!
Josh was quite courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable. I was dreading having my front loading dryer fixed. Luckily, the diagnosis & fix was simple (my son forgot to put the lint vent back and a sock got in where the lint is trapped). Dryer was fixed in less than ½ hour! Definite thumbs up for Pitstop! The Best!
Nothing could have been simpler getting my recently broken washer back in working order. 24 hours after online contact , someone was at my door and the washer was fixed in less than 10 minutes! Old Fashioned Reliable Service
This is the second time we've called Pitstop. The first was last year and Josh showed us how it would be more expensive to repair our vent than replace it. Money saved. I cannot say enough about the all around service I received from Pitstop. The showed up on time, charged me half of what Sears wanted to and emailed me later stating that they researched the problem I had. In the email it stated, they believed the problem was a manufacture issue. They didn't want to charge me to fix it, when really SAMSUNG (uugh) should be responsible. Prompt, friendly and with excellent knowledge. Service man carefully went over the old Maytag washer, examined the balance springs and re-leveled the machine. He gave us advice on placement and leveling and recommended that we continue to hold on to the Maytag. The noise on spin should not harm the machine should it get out of level. Though the service was minimal the advise was well worth the cost and saved us from purchasing a costly replacement. I would gladly recommend your service.

Thermador Oven Repair
Pitstop was the only repair company nearby that fixes Thermador ovens so I booked them on-line but also asked for a phone call for confirmation. They did just that and came during the 2 hour time frame requested. The problem required ordering an entire computer board that took some time to be shipped but as soon as Pitstop received it, they called to schedule an installation. Maytage Washer is as good as new
Two days before Christmas, my Maytag washing machine stopped spinning. I called Pit Stop and they came the next day. I needed some parts, so I had to wait a while before the manufacturer sent them. The repairman came the very next day to complete the repair. I had asked him if I should just get a new machine, but he thougth my Maytag had a lot more life left in it, just some worn out parts. No wonder...it's in a house that for many years housed nine people!!!!!!!

It was my first experience with Pitstop Appliance Repair and I can say that I was very pleased to chose them. At 11:00 am, I set up an appointment for 2:00 pm (problem with my fridge)and the technician was on time. In addition, the technician (Josh) was very polite and gave me clear explanations.
