Had a bloomspot voucher and was a little sceptical, but it turned out to be a very beautiful haircut (cut + 1/2highlights). Got many compliments on it. Marian is very knowledgeable in her field, has a good vision what fits best your face and type, knows how to cut different textures of hair. She is also very friendly and gives great tipps.

Disappointing results

I was encouraged by the positive reviews Marian has here, and decided to give her a try. She was very nice and listened to what I wanted to do with my hair - and then proceded to do exactly what I told her I didn't want to happen. I had to ask her to recut my hair twice to get a semblance of what I wanted. Now my husband tells me it's the worst haircut I've ever had and insists I go see someone else right away to get it fixed. Marian didn't "get" my hair at all!

Amazing find!

Met Marian for the first time last week. I've had problems finding someone to cut and color my hair for years now. She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and I walked away with the PERFECT color and cut! She covered my gray and gave me a new look. Have curly hair? Marian is THE Stylist to see!

I'm proud to say I've followed Marian from her days back at Festoon through each step that has brought her to present position co-owning Bijoux Salon. I'm a male with chin length tight curly hair. She is THE ONLY person I have found that gives me a fabulous cut every single time. She takes the time to individually twirl each curl by hand so it falls neatly around my face instead of the tangle mess I used to end up with. Sadly I only see her a few times a year because her cuts grow out so well

I have been getting my hair colored with Marian for the last several years and she is spectacular. She listens and gives you exactly what you want, she is very meticulous and takes her time to do it right. Worth every penny

I'm picky about who cuts my hair. I heard about Marian on yelp and everyone raved about her so I just had to try and she is worth every penny. I had her cut off more than I usually like because my hair was so damaged from split ends and she even gave me tips on how to keep my hair healthier next time. She's very friendly and easy to get along with as well which is crucial when you're stuck in a chair for an hour or so. I'll definitely be a regular from now on.

amazing haircut from a talented individual!

I was in dire need of an update to my look - had let my hair grow pretty long and ignored it for some time. Marian knew exactly how to cut my hair to give it shape, volume, and movement, while at the same time giving me a cut that doesn't require me to be a master with the hair appliances each morning. I just wash and go and have been getting complements even on my unstyled "do". I will definitely be back!

it's MAGIC!

Unbelievably talented at what she does. In my 30 years, I have NEVER found anyone who could cut my hair without any direction. Have curly hair?

I'm a male with super curly hair. I spent years looking for a good haircut. Marian is absolutely amazing! In the past, with other stylist, I'd end up with the same cut a straight hair person would (looks fine wet, but when dry & shrunk up, looks like a preschooler did it). Marian is more methodical, she takes time to step back & watch how each curl falls into place. She even hand curls each curl before cutting again! WOW! She's fun & conversation is more in depth than with your average stylist.

This review pertains not to haircuts but rather special styling. Marian has done a special style for me twice now, and both times the styles have turned out wonderfully. I received numerous compliments on my hair. She listens to what you want and also explains her recommendations. I tend to not be very creative with my hair in terms of styling, and her work opens my eyes to all the possibilities that exist. I would trust her completely with any special occasion style. She's a rock star!

Fantastic stylist

Marian listens carefully to what you want, and then gives you a fantastic-looking haircut w/in your parameters. She really does seem to work magic with your hair. Before Marian, I always thought my hair didn't have any body. She gave me a cut that gives my hair body, is easily maintained, and grows out well. She's also fun to be around, which is important when you're in that chair for almost an hour!

Marian has been doing my highlights for a number of years. She's great - she has a great eye, and really listens when you talk with her. She cut my hair for the first time the other day, and I can say that she is just as talented with cuts. I'm really happy with the way my hair looks. I have been getting my hair cut by Marian for over three years now.
