I had a terrible cough for weeks, I was avoiding the doctor, but fearing it would become inevitable. Then a coworker mentioned MCA, I made an appointment for my first day off (yesterday), began feeling better almost immediately after the treatment, and 24 hours later after taking the prescribed herbs (at a fraction of what pharmaceuticals would cost) I already feel nearly 100%. Matt was very pleasant and casual, and the environment was extremely comforting and healing. I can't wait to go back!

My spinal doc told me about Matthew and gave him glowing reviews. The 2 hours I spent in my very first treatment helped my chronic shoulder pain (RSI) remarkably. He is kind, thorough and obviously a genius. I quickly set up weekly appointments. I walked out feeling regenerated in a way I've never experienced with Acupuncture before. His caring demeanor was also such a departure from the Kaiser model and it was inspiring to see his health and spirit as a model.

Friends, it's allergy season, put down the antihistamines and make an appointment at Mission Community Acupuncture. Why drug yourself up when you could have a super relaxing treatment to send the allergies away? The prices make treatment accessible, and I can't survive allergy season without them! Highly recommend!

I made an appointment with Matthew to help address the intense pain I've had for years, due to a car accident. Matthew treated the pain symptoms effectively, and without drugs. As a law student, it isn't easy to fit acupuncture into my budget. However, the rates make it accessible. I highly recommend Matthew to people with long-term pain. There is hope.

I have been seeing him twice a week for several months now, and he is always willing to try a different approach if one isn't effective. It was my first acupuncture session ever and it was an intense, but amazing experience. I have several imbalances and minor injuries going on with my body at the moment, however I went in mainly for a tight lower back. While right after the session the pain was slightly better, days later my back has slowly gotten better to the point of it not being a major issue. I'd definitely plan to go back!

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical that acupuncture would be able to do much for the horrible cough and cold that I just couldn't get rid of. Desperate to get better, I followed the advice of my friend and booked an appointment with Jon. I am still amazed that immediately after the treatment I felt 50% better and the next day felt 90% better and was able to return to work. Thank you so much Jon for helping me when Western medicine told me to just "deal with it." Amazing. I am converted.

Matthew is the best Acupuncturist I have had in 10 years. I have chronic back pain and recently started experiencing sciatic nerve pain. Since the visit I no longer feel the 'pins and needles' in my leg at night. Matthew is an expert at not only administering Chinese medicine but also listening to the patient and respecting the healing process. My friend and I walked in for our first visit without an appointment. We were greeted warmly and he treated us right away by working us in to his already full schedule. I'm not inclined to try and describe it's effects, you just have to try it for yourself. Minus one star because it's on a noisy street in the Mission. I'll definitely be coming back.

I had my first acupuncture session with Matthew yesterday and was blown away. The combination of acupuncture, body work and moxibustion left me floating on cloud nine. Matthew listens intently to you. Something I find very rare in western and some eastern med. As a professional dancer, and nutritionist who has studied Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine, I was thoroughly impressed and will continue to see Matthew for tune ups and imbalances. I highly recommend Matthew increase his prices :D.

I've been seeing Matthew for almost a year, and he has successfully treated all sorts of ailments, from back pain to a nasty flu to low energy. He's a very knowledgeable, compassionate practitioner. The treatment was done skillfully and I feel great. The clinic is bright, clean and positive. I highly recommend MCA to anyone. The fees are very reasonable--they're actually very low. Matt shocked me taking my call on his cell after hours, and when I said I had Bell's Palsy virus, he offered to come in after hours. I had immediate results, shocking great results...you might have thought I was drunk, to hear my muddy speech before our session. After that, I spoke really well, my friends saw the difference in my face, and I was charged with hope. The 2nd session was just as good. Easy walk to BART & muni .

Matthew has been an excellent acupuncturist and herbalist for me. He has aided me in improving multiple internal body issues naturally through his treatments and tinctures. I have been looking for an alternative to western medicine's approach of pill popping. He has a good knowledge of western medicine as well and was able to compliment that approach with his own. The results have been positive so far. I have been able to get off of one of my prescriptions and replace it with his treatment.

I cannot express enough how pleasant my experience at Mission Community Acupuncture was. Matthew is truly a master in his field - attentive, knowledgeable, kind. On a side note from the primary purpose of my visit, I had mentioned a pain in my QL and he addressed it liwithin in the first few minutes. I didn't think too much of this at the time, but when I woke up the next day I was shocked that the pain I usually feel there was gone! I highly recommend MCA and am definitely going back.

Just went to Mission Community Acupuncture after happening past the office one day. They were very accommodating. So great to have a resource available for healing at an affordable price. The office was nice, simple and clean. I lucked out because there weren't other appointments at the time and I was able to utilize the free treatment rooms.

I was pretty nervous as I have a fear of needles but I felt at ease the minute I walked in the door. The staff was very courteous. During the in-take eval, Phil was gentle and non-intrusive as well as patient with my anxiousness to share a lifetime of ails in one breath. The entire experience was a pleasant one and I felt some relief from my pain. I made another appointment on the way out.

This is a great way to get reasonable acupunture care! I'm totally satisfied--the hours are fine, the care superb. I feel so much better and the doc has helped with some long-stnding health problems.
