I needed help creating a histogram and line graph in Excel for my statistics class. Having never used Excel this was truly a challenge for me. I spoke with Colin and he walked me right through the process and even helped me install an add-on that I needed. After he walked me through the process,it quite painless. He is worth his weight in GOLD. I will definitely utilize the tutor services again when I need help.

As a perfectionist, the need to be tutored is a given. The only times I was unable to obtain tutoring sessions were the times my grade reflected it. I have otherwise been able to receive 100% on my assignments only because on people like Kelsey, she does a great job, and without her and GCU's service I would be lost! Thank you for your services!

I was pleasantly surprised that my tutor (Krissy) was able to aide me with visuals. This being online I worried that just talking would not help, but after her signing me into scribble.com I was able to see what she was explaining, making my tutoring experience worth it. I have already booked more sessions with her. Math was my weak link, now thanks to tutoring I conquered my fears of math and am excelling beyond belief. Thank you Krissy....

My counselor has been encouraging me to find a tutor to help with my writing and I'm very thankful he did. I scheduled a tutoring session with Lois asking her to help revise my Expository Essay. Lois walked me through the essay line by line and encouraged me with the content, grammar, punctuation, structure and citations. Lois was very knowledgeable and made this a great experience. I'm thankful GCU offers tutoring and I will definitely utilize this resource throughout my studies.

My tutor rescued me from drowning. His explanations are simple and he is very patient. I have not had a math class in over 30 years and was placed in intermediate algebra. The only thing that wasn't so great is that she was about 5 minutes late getting to my session and ended a minute early so as to not be late for her next student and we were not able to finish reviewing.

The writing center has been assisting me with APA format, writing style, and just key points in general. I feel everyone should take advantage of the skills they have to offer. It does become difficult for the graduate student as everyone books Andrew who works with the 700-900 style writing students. Please hire more like him to be available all the time. And most of all take into consideration extended hours for the individuals who work during the day and are in eastern time zones.

I sure wish I had booked the tuder on the earlier asignments that I had blown. Oh well... live and learn. I was not looking forward to College Algebra. However, I knew I had to do it and so I decided I was going to do it well! I signed up for a couple math sessions with Matthew Lamca and saw right away that it made a big difference. Every other week or so I would go to the tutor and I was able to stay ahead of my class. When it came time to taking tests, I was very comfortable with the material. Thank you, Center for Learning and Advancement!

My tutor did a great job. After my session I had a better understanding of the chapters that I was learning for that week. Before I started the tutor sessions, I felt that I was doomed for that class but after the session my confidence was boosted. I would have to say those who are feeling that they are struggling to check out the tutors Grand Canyon has to offer, they are very beneficial!

My writting session with Andrew was excellent, we were able to cover all the areas that I was needing clarification in and in one instance it made the diffwerence in turning my "A" papers that had been coming back a point short back into "A" papers. Most of my questions involved lack of communication from my teacher so it was a challenge for my tutor to help figure out what the teacher was wanting. It had been more than 24 years since I used any type of algebra or advanced math. So going into Mat 134, I was totally in the dark. I did not get much from the e-book, or the many other algebra books I had for cross-reference. My tutor, through the Center for Learning & Advancement, has made a world of difference. I received the clear understanding that I needed of homologous chromosomes, synapsis, sister chromatids, and all in meiosis. I also now understand how to construct and complete large Punnett squares. I really am glad to have had a very helpful tutor.

I love it. I am glade their is such a program in which it not only helps us but I've been seeing and noticing imporovements. I honestly declined so many schools because they did not offer tuttoring. In which they should especially if your looking to improve academically and you know you have a weakness. I love this incentative program which they are not demeaning but encouraging don't change this at all. Thanks everyone at the Writting center.

This was my second time for the writing help. I did not know who or what to expect the first time. I was aprehensive that it would take several different tutor's before I got the right one for me. My first try was by my random select and now I book all my writing labs with this young man. I sure appreciate this program and my Tutor to. My tutor was very helpful and gave me the understanding I needed. I went away from the session less afraid and more knowledgable for my statistics. I told my tutor that I had a learning disability and he helped me with an understanding heart and demeanor. I will recommend my tutor to all my fellow classmates. I would recommend anyone seeking assistance with APA, MLA and just general quesitons regarding how to adjust a writing assignment so that it is acceptable. I am taking Psych 363 and this is by far the most challenging class I have ever been in. However with that being said, I have been utilizing the tutoring services here at GCU and it is better. David Coates has been my tutor and even though the I still feel this is a hard class his help has made it easier to get through this material. At least my classmates and I have some type of alternative to seek help with Psych 363 because the book and other means are poor at best!

Unfortunatly, there was no one there that knew how to use stat tools for statistics, which was disappointing, since I need help. The stats tutor was nice enough to find some downloads of videos for me though and the girls were gret on the phone even though I was hysterical. I was able to understand what I was reading in the assignments and develop my answers correctly. I appreciate the ease and availability of the tutoring center. Unfortunately, I wasn't at-all interested in the assignment I was there getting help with, which was Glogster. My tutor was very nice and helpful, though I'm not convinced he saw much value in the assignment either.
