This was the first time I've ever gotten a Brazilian. I saw Amanda and was very pleased! She was very laid back but also professional. The location is convenient. I noticed the next day there was a tiny missed patch. But my overall experience was great and I will definitely be going back again.

I would totally recommend "Bare down there" to anyone and everyone! I went there yesterday for my very first Brazilian and they made it seem as if I wasn't even exposed at all. Very comfortable. Anna told me how to breathe so the pain wouldn't be too bad and actually on a scale from one to ten (ten being painful) my pain level was at about a 3-4! Not what I imagined at all! Not even ten minutes later I was all done. Will for sure be throwing my razor away and only waxing.

After reading the positive reviews for Anna, I decided to try this place. I needed to find somewhere close to home. It is hard to find a new wax pro since you're literally "putting yourself out there". But Anna is everything I could have hoped for. A clinical professional, but with a personality that puts you instantly at ease. The facility is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Anna is professional, very knowledgable, and adorable. This is my new home for waxing!

I went to Anna for the first time a year ago and have been going back ever since. She is kind, caring and professional. I had never had a bikini wax before and have very sensitive skin so was apprehensive. Anna made me feel comfortable and my skin never had any issues.

This was my very 1st Brazilian wax I was super nervous about it and wanted to cancel more than a few times. I am so glad I didn't Anna was the best and made me feel super comfortable and I really didn't feel awkward. Of coarse there was pain involved but if was much much less then I expected! I have never had a Brazillian wax before. I always heard the horror stories from women that tell me how it hurt so badly that they couldn't continue! This was NOTHING like that. From the moment I walked into the room, Anna made me feel so comfortable. We talked and laughed, just like we would if we were out for a cup of coffee and it really helped me to relax. There was very little pain and it was definitely tollerable. I will be coming back in regularly EVERY month! Thank you!!!

My first visit was a great experience. I only did the eyebrow waxing and tinting, but one of the few places that does the tinting. Online appt makes it easier to know what times are available, easy to get in and it was a very light and comfortable atmosphere. Also, my technician was good about texting with questions.

Amanda was awesome. She spoke to me the whole time, carrying on a conversation. It was a nice way to keep my mind off things. My room mate and best friend came with me and got waxed as well and she loved the girl who did hers as well. Obviously this place has picked an amazing staff and i am sure the other women are just as good. I went to Bare Down There for a Brazilian wax just a few days ago and I have to say it was a great experience! I had been waxed before numerous times at another salon but the experience wasn't the same. Anna was great at distracting me from the pain, kept the conversation going, made me comfortable in what could have been a very awkward situation. She didn't pressure me to buy any products which most places do. Overall it was a fantastic experience! I will be back! Thanks Anna!

I'm a first-timer and I don't know why I waited THIS long to finally try bikini waxing!?? It's the best thing ever because I feel so clean afterward. My husband LOVES it. :) Valerie was so great and ensured that I would be just fine, and I was. I thought it was going to be the most painful thing I would ever have to experience (aside from childrearing), but it wasn't. I moved to Vancouver 3 yrs ago and had been searching for an aesthetician. I have tried Dosha and Urban Waxx in PDX and Main Street Spa and Rinovo in Vancouver. None of them were all that great. I don't know why I've heard horror stories about getting your woman parts waxed! I had Anna for a full Brazilian and it was a very pleasant experience. I have been afraid to get a brazilian ever since I tried waxing my legs with an at home kit that was more painful than I can explain. I was trepidatious to say the least when my friends said we should all get waxed together, it was a bravery in numbers sort of thing. I went to Valerie and she was amazing. While on vacation in the Bahamas 2 years ago, I had my first (and I thought last) bikini wax. It was traumatic, to say the least, and took me 2 years to find the courage to try again. On a recommendation from a friend, I decided to give it another go and scheduled with Amanda. HUGE difference. While it was not pain-free it was like night and day compared to my previous waxing experience and I plan on being a regular customer. All I can say is Amanda not only kicks ass, she waxes it!

I tried Baredownthere because I needed somewhere closer to home. I was a little skeptical because I've only ever been waxed at one other spa. However, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff and knew I was in the right place. The esthetician who did my wax was experienced, talkative and quick. Brazilian waxes are never pain-free, but Kari was professional and even in the most intimate positions (and there were plenty), made it rather tolerable. Her humor and skill made for quick and "pretty" work, asking preferences for "design" and offering suggestions. BDT is a specialty "hair salon" that really knows their business.

I'm sure all the women who work here rock, but I had Anna for my first ever full Brazilian wax. I was SO unbelievably nervous, but she talked to me the whole time and I ended up not feeling weird at all! The waxing itself was almost painless (minus the couple sensitive spots), which also surprised me! I have the most sensitive skin, yet had barely ANY irritation afterwards. We chatted the entire time, and although there were some painful instances, I would say overall that it was less so than the first time. Got referred here and saw Valerie and not only did she get everything, the wax she uses doesnt pull the skin or stick to your skin afterwards. I'm a guy. First t ime client, first waxing, first brazilian. I desperately tried in vain to hide my nervousness at the thought of waxing "down there". I waitewd a few days to try to think of the perfect wording for this review. But the problem is, there is no perfect wording for it. All i have to do it tell the truth. Bare Down There is the most awsome place to go for in waxing needs. I go back and forth between Valerie and Anna. I am never disappointed. I go in, have a great conversation and leave smooth. I had only had a Brazilian once before, years ago, so I was a bit nervous. Amanda greeted me warmly and was very outgoing and friendly which can help put anyone at ease. She is fairly new at this salon, but absolutely knows what she is doing and is fantastic! You can tell she loves her job. The appointment was over before I knew it and she kept me chatting to keep my mind off of the pain (which was minimal). Aftercare was a breeze and I'm glad I decided to try waxing again. My experience at Bare Down There Waxing was a very good one. I went in for a Brazilian for the first time, and Valerie made me comfortable before we began the procedure. She explained what to expect, before and after care, and when the pain seemed too much to bear, she slowed down and changed to smaller strips, which was more comfortable for me.I was impressed how 'unawkward' the whole experience was and she took her time. I was waxed by Anna. She is outstanding, not only in waxing but making me laugh. I have been waxed by both Anna and Valerie and at this point I could care less which one waxes me. Heck, I would let them both work on me at the same time! I would recomend both these astonishing women to anyone who has never been waxed or to someone who has been waxed many times by someone else. Valerie is the best. She made my first bikini waxing experience as non-evasive as I think it could get. It's realtively painless and just the bee's knees compared to shaving. With shaving you get razor bumps, it itches when it grows back, there's always some stubble, and it stays thick. But with waxing, all that fuss is eliminated. It's smoother longer, it doesn't itch coming back in, it grows back thinner and with shallower roots. I will never shave again.

First of all, she spent a lot of time on my brows making sure they were perfect and even, she wasn't rushing in even the slightest bit. I would and will recommend Valerie to my friends. I took my daughter in to have her eyebrows done for the first time. Valerie was efficient and quick and it was over before you know it. Although the term "painless" is relative, there wasn't a bunch of prolonged tweezing after the waxing. There is certainly something to be said for someone who ONLY does waxing. To me, it indicates that they know what they're doing and they enjoy it. In Valerie's case, both are true and it shows.

I had been looking forward to my October appt with Valerie since first contacting her in August. It was well worth the wait. She's a very skilled waxer, and does the little things that make the process go better. I really appreciated how she worked with my breathing rhythm so that she waited to remove the wax until I was ready for it. The cost was entirely reasonable, too. I'll be going back for more.

Bare Down There Waxing is very comfortable, Valerie is professional and welcoming, and the entire experience is a breeze (and considering what's being done, that's saying something!) This wasn't my first wax, but I'd been trying to do some self-maintenance. . .thank goodness Valerie could fix the "mess", and we shared a good chuckle over the situation. There are some things we should leave to the professionals, and a Brazilian wax has to be pretty high on that list! :) I'll be back!

This was my first wax, ever. I was more nervous,than a girl about to start her first day of high school. I was pleasently surprised with the turnout. Valerie was amazing, of course it was awkward,but it wasn't an uncomfortable situation. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. Let's just say, it was the first of many. As long as I am in the area(washington) I will be seeing Valerie once a month.

This was my 1st full body waxing and it was actually not bad at all. Valerie is great at what she does. I thought that I was going to be in massive pain but before I even left the parking lot, there was no pain. I will absolutly be going back to see here and I have already told several people about her. She is a total blast to talk with...helps take your mind off of what is going on and you are done before you know it.

From booking to paying, everything went smooth as a baby's bottom (sorry. had to use it). What a lovely time I had! My first Brazilian wax, plus legs and armpits. I love the new space! Valerie's personality helped put me immediately at ease. She's very, VERY good at her craft - very thorough, clean, professional, quick, punctual, and a hoot and a half to chat with. I am one of those unfortunate women with thick black hair; I have tried waxing in the past and even though I exfoliate and trim, I have always given up due to extreme rash and bruising created by the “pull off”. Valerie is amazing, I had a full leg, extended bikini, and under arm all without a single bruise or rash the next day. Not only is Valerie an EXCELLENT WAXER but she is very personable and makes you feel completely comfortable with yourself and the experience.
