Curly or smooth and silky? Gustav knows how to make you look good!
Gustav is a great stylist and knows hair. He has a gentle demeaner and is not pushy, just wants you to look good when you leave his 101 year old heirloom chair. I have found my new hair stylist, extraordinaire!

Gustav Mendoza knows how to cut and style hair better than any hair stylist I've ever been to!, and most importantly he listens to what you have to say. Details -- like wash and rinse after your cut, not before -- which is the way it should be. No rushing folks, give Gustav a try -- you won't be disappointed.

MORE THAN JUST A HAIRCUT
Gustav is a treasure, a true artist. HIs skills are far beyond any hair stylist that have encountered. Moreover, he is a truly caring human being who gives his customers his full, unhurried attention. A. truly delightful experience and, yes, a great haircut.

Nice Job!
What a joy to walk into Gustav's historic home and receive a very nice cut, excellent color. I felt I was in the hands of an expert the entire time. Very good technician, and I recommend him.

Great Cut
Gustav always does a great job. He knows how to get the best out of my sometimes unruly wavy hair. This time I wanted a more professional look, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Great for kids
My son had a great cut and a fun time at Mr. Gus's. He loved the cool color spray at the end! Of course, he also loved watching Batman and Robin. It was quick, comfortable, and so easy. My other son came along to and sat and watched and watched the cartoons, too.

GREAT SALON & SERVICE
Gustav is wonderful. I brought in pictures of what I wanted, and I left there with the exact cut I wanted. Gustav is very attentive to my individual hair needs -- he doesn't treat you like everyone else. He really takes the time to listen and his skills are superb.

Professional, personable, pleasant, perfect!
I had my best styling experience ever with Gustav. He listened to exactly what I want, and had the knowledge and skill to suggest his own ideas and vision. The whole experience was wonderful, and every step of the way it was clear to me that Gustav is committed to client service and creating great hair! I really appreciated his willingness and ability to give me tips according to my "hair lifestyle". I will definitely be back regularly and be recommending him to all my friends! Outstanding!

a unique, friendly and professional experience
I am so glad places and people like this still exist! Gustav's salon is a perfect blend of old-fashioned family-owned neighborhood business with excellent quality and high professionalism. My cut color/highlights was less expensive than expected, and when I felt two days later that we'd chosen the wrong highlight color he corrected it free of charge (while his 2-year-old son played a song on his tiny guitar.) Another bonus: Gustav is kind and funny; we had several great conversations.

Family friendly, super professional and close to home
I really enjoyed my time at Gustav's salon. He gave me a great cut. It was on Tuesday so it was less expensive and he donates all the proceeds to charity
My two year old had to come with me b/c I had a babysitter problem, but that turned out to be no problem b/c Gustav had videos for him to watch and there was space for him to play quietly.
Gustav is a dad himself so he understands parents. You can make a family outing and all get cuts--he does kids, men, women, cut, color, the works!

The whole family loves Gustav
Teen aged boys are hard to please in the hair department! Gustav takes the time to make each of my teen aged sons feel special and stylish. He listens to their ideas and shows them how to make the most of their hair styles. We all love a trip to Gustav!

BEST HAIRCOLOR EVER!!!
Gustav is incredible! He customized my foil to complement my haircut. He was so nice, yet very professional. I've never had so many complements on my hair before. The color is amazing!!! I love it so much! Thank you so much Gustav!

A great neighborhood salon with class!
I tried Gustav because of his community commitment (donating to Officer Brenton's kids' fund), but I'll stay with him because he gave me a great cut!
He's convenient to my work & home, & I can make an appointment online(!). Plus, he knows his stuff. Thanks Gustav!

I love Gustav! His place is homey and classy, very comfortable. As is his manner. He is very skilled and experienced and provides just the right amount of listening vs. suggestions. I love my new hairstyle and color and I loved the experience. Prices are reasonable. GO THERE!

Took my daughter to Gustav for a nice, short 'wedge' style. She was a little nervous until she met him. He put her right at ease and gave her a fantastic style. It was VERY apparent that he is a pro, and his little spot is charming and comfortable. I think we have found the nieghborhood stylist we have always been looking for; for the whole family!

I traveled to Arizona the day after my cut and highlights. The great news is, after pool and sun, I am able to emerge with a great look and not worry about hair while on vacation, even in a completely different climate. Thanks, Gus, for the super job you did!
