I am 100% pleased with my experience at CAW. I've been numerous times, and I go back regularly. Ninah is very good at what she does, and I trust her completely. The sliding scale payment system is also great. This is by far the best acupuncture clinic i've been to. It takes a unique approach to healing and it really works well for me.

Excellent, gentle, caring, and effective. Just as promoted, it is acupuncture China-style, which makes it much more affordable and accessible. Nina is on top of it all, and quickly understands my varying needs for acupuncture, and which points to use. I've always felt comfortable and well-taken care of by Nina. My scheduling hasn't coincided with Mandy yet.

Never done acupuncture before but b/c of injury my physical therapist rec'd it. I found CAW by asking friends on FB. Mandy & Ninah are both WONDERFUL. W/my injury I am on long term track to heal but this has helped not only physically, but for peace of mind/stress relief. I look forward to my "mini vacation" every week. Ninah is great about checking my progress & anything new going on & addressing it. I am so grateful to have found acupuncture & plan on going the rest of my life. Thank you!

I've been seeing Ninah regularly for the past couple of months. She's an incredible acupuncturist. She takes a lot of time to get to know you and your health issuest. I had never done community acupuncture before and now have no desire to go back to private. The financial difference means I'm able to go regularly. Also the atmosphere is very nice and easy to fall asleep in. I've definitely noticed great results from the work she has done on me.

One of the best experiences I have had with Acupuncture. Intentions of the owner, vibrations in the room and intelligent needle placement are all reasons I am a fan of this institution. I have nothing else to say, for example, how else can one describe a nice, big tasty organic strawberry without using too many words. Same thing.

Very friendly, inviting atmosphere. This is lame but I was apprehensive primarily because of the sheets on recliners look but I was immediately put at ease upon entering. The acupuncturist was very easy to talk to. Asked great q's to get to the issue. Listened so attentively (unlike dr's office). Easy honor system payments (use envelopes & drop box). Love community acu. THX! Just an FYI: OAP uses these great lightweight recliners that have no cushions (I think they're the camping chair material)

The community setting was made very comfortable with great lounge chairs and soothing chanting in the background. My fear of needles was eliminated due to the professional approach of the acupuncturist. Overall, a great first visit and because of the reasonable cost, I will be back.

After having visited this particular place for the first time, I wonder why I never did before. My experience was just right. Ninah was professional, expert, kind and communicative--bottom line for me when needles are in the mix and I need healing. I live in the 'hood, and loved experiencing the busy sounds and activities of 24th being replaced by the mental and physical peace that acupuncture brings. OMG, I can take a break from work, walk there, and AFFORD the treatment!

The primary reason for my visits are to address my jaw, upper back and neck tension. On my third visit I finally went in without a headache and am always amazing at how I completely zonk out during treatment. Even though the space is communal I feel like I can relax and let the acupuncture do its work. I'm a big fan of Saturday mornings to help set my weekend straight and give my body time to heal without stressing about work again.

first time visit for a nasty cold and back pain. Back pain gone instantly. Cold took awhile. But I'm going to keep going back for allergies as I've had success with acupuncture before for them. And the price is affordable enough to go every week. Ninah was lovely and gentle and very proficient.

This is a great concept in action. Peaceful environment, easy to get an appointment, and solid needling. Ninah is really kind. The sliding scale is way lower than most LAcs charge for their scale, if they even have one. Calming mantras and low lighting contribute to the healing atmosphere.

Nina welcomed me personally and her warm, genuine energy stripped off the first layer of anxiety from the outside world. I settled into an armchair and allowed myself to relax while she attended to my treatment. Sitting there in that chair for an hour while the energy in my body reorganized itself allowed me to unwind to a deeper level of relaxation than I am usually able to achieve after a long day in the office, in the midst of the general busyness of life. A deeply rejuvenating experience.

A few months ago I injured my back resulting in a ruptured disc. I had lived with excruciating pain for the past months. I was referred to Community Acuouncture Works by my daughter who gets care there. In one week of treatments my pain went alomost completely away. The care from both Ninah and Liz was wonderful. I came to check out Ninah's space and I was a little concerned knowing it was located on a busy SF street, but as soon as I got inside I felt very comfortable and relaxed. This is a wonderful urban space, a great place to get some respite from the everyday stress of life, and the location couldn't be better. I will be really weak, out of balance or just needing a tug tuneup. After speaking with this doctor, who really listens, she knows all the right spots to stick the needles. After a half an hour of listening to some weird guy moaning through the speakers...I walk out of the place feeling so much better and open to the world. I can smell more, feel more and think clearer. First off... I love Ninah! She is so amazing! I honestly think that CA Works is the most relaxing place in SF. The music, atmosphere, even the wall color is mellow. On a serious note.. I had lung trouble that eventually put me in the ER. The doctors at SF General had no clue what was wrong with me. It was extremely frustrating. A friend suggested CA Works. I'd never had acupuncture before and was skeptical, but after the 3rd day of treatment I was 100% better. I'm a total believer and huge fan.

Ninah's practice is in the heart of the Mission on 24th street. She has a very nice place with very relaxing music. She is very organized and runs her practice on her own, quite admirable! She has created a very cozy, healing space where she does first-rate healing work at low prices because that is what she believes in. She genuinely has her patients' best interest in mind. I have benefited greatly from her treatments.

I've been getting regular acupuncture for 25 years and Ninah is the best -- I've been following her around since she was a third year student in a clinic. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, calm, wise -- a true healing presence -- and she knows how to use needles with hardly any discomfort. I was reluctant to give up the private office attention but have found her community style office to be peaceful and relaxing and the price is affordable enough to allow frequent visits. Perfect!

Wow. Smack dab in the community, this affordable healthcare is heaven. The care provided is kindly, knowledgeable and respectful. I am grateful that I can have multiple acupuncture treatments to address an issue instead of making do with one or two, due to cost.

The community setting was new to me, and I actually liked it and found it to be more relaxing then visiting a doctor in an office room. The environment is very relaxed and peaceful. The warm blanket offered along with the soft lounge chair, pillows and the chanting music equated to nap time for adults. I would recommend to all.
