Even though it was a mandatory session for CLTP I was still able to get helpful advice. Laura Foote offered insight to how I should go about to refine my pitch. She made me feel very comfortable around her, so I was able to share my ideas and be receptive to her comments and suggestions.

The speech resource center was very helpful in polishing my speech. Being able to present my speech to someone who was distances from it allowed me to spot the flaws in the flow and content of the speech. Professor Morrison then helped me make changes. Using the speech resouce center allowed me to fine-tune my speech and was in fact very helpful.

Although I was not able to attend the scheduled meeting, I had phone instructions from the professor. At that day I had a late afternoon interview and was slightly nervous about my performance. Professor Foote kindly offered to talk to me on the phone, just before my actual interview, asking possible questions that the hiring manage might ask. This exercise warmed me up, and I was 100% up to the challenge during the interview.

I felt a lot more confident about what I was saying and giving my speech the next day. Professor Sokuvitz was really helpful and very easy to get along with, which helped because I was able to get through ideas more fluidly since I was in a comfort zone.
