    Great massage

    I had a one hour therapeutic massage with Sylvia. She was very knowledgeable and provided an excellent massage. It was one of the best I've ever received. Spa on the Hill is a very soothing environment and the staff was very nice.

    Perfect relaxation

    I was pleased with the one-hour Signature Massage I received from Sylvia. The massage table was heated and I enjoyed the warm towels she used to prop my neck and wrap my feet. I liked the oil and lotion she used, but I could definitely feel it on me after the massage. The light fare was nothing to write home about.

    Waxing

    I was looking for a new place to do my waxing and this is it. Donna was great, got all the hair out and it wasn't too painful. I have gone back since my first and have scheduled my next appt in advance. I really like that they email you your appt and I can add it to my calendar from the email.

    Helping the Hips

    I received a gift certificate for SOTH for a prenatal massage. At, what feels like a millinon weeks pregnant, it was nice to have attention paid to all the sores spots which are mostly my hips and lower back. Janelle was great and picked up on those other trouble spots I failed to mention. Very very nice.

    Excellent Experience

    I received a gift certificate for Spa on the Hill and recently had my "signature massage". It was excellent, the therapist was able to identify some tender spots and gave advice on how to treat soreness at home. I would definitely go back.

    Silvia is fantastic

    I had a 90 minute massage with Silvia. She really knew what she was doing. I left with my back pain free for the first time in at least three years. It lasted too! The woman is magic.

    Best Massage in Town!

    I received a gift certificate to Spa on the Hill. Rebecca was my masseuse and was amazing!! It was the absolute BEST massage I have had! Once Rebecca learned that my back was the major area of concentration, she focused in on my stiff areas and relieved me of the pain! I am SO looking forward to my next appointment in May!

    Wonderful way to start the week

    This Monday, I decided to begin my week with a massage at Spa on the Hill. This was my third massage there and the best yet. Sandy did a great job.

    Great, personable service

    This was my first time going to Spa on the Hill. I was greeted with a calm environment and a smile. My therapist was amazing and really listened to my needs and explained to me why I was having trouble and tension in specific areas of my body. She told me what areas needed to be worked on to fix those problems and proceeded as such - I feel great!

    I was recommended by a co-worker and enjoyed by experienced. All the of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Arnetta is great for waxing. I am now a loyal customer!!

    BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE!!

    I scheduled a 60-minute therapeutic massage after a half marathon. Lauren honed in on every tight sinew of my back and shoulders without even being directed. She was patient and thorough and didn't rush through the difficult areas. She has a very calm, professional, and relaxing demeanor and took time before the massage to see what areas were giving me the most grief. I walked away (not limping) feeling like a million bucks!!

    Wonderful Massage in a Peaceful Atmosphere

    I was treated to a gift certificate and went for a signature massage with Sylvia. The spa was easy to locate and reception was welcoming. Sylvia was professional, attentive and very kind. I would absolutely come back!

    Wonderful Facial- Arnetta was GREAT!

    I had the Organic Wellness facial this week and it was great. Arnetta was very professional and efficient. I found the whole thing very relaxing (except for the extractions, maybe). Arnetta also offered some great tips for keeping my skin moisturized and looking good until my next facial. I'll definitely be back.

    Totally amazing

    I had my first Brazilian wax at Spa on the Hill. Arnetta was great. She made me totally comfortable. THe spa was clean and comfortable. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Spa on the Hill and will be back.

    Best bikini wax in dc

    Getting a bikini wax is never fun, but Arnetta makes it as painless as possible, and most importantly, she's fast! I had a Brazilian and was done in 15 minutes. I've been to other places on the hill that have taken 45 minutes to an hour, and the experience was simply torture. Arnetta is quick and she talks to you throughout the procedure, which helps take your mind off of what's going on down there. I also seem to get fewer ingrowns when I go to her. Five stars.

    Best facial ever!

    I saw Donna for a Bye-Bye breakouts facial and it was the best facial I've ever had. No red marks from extractions and she took care of my sensitive skin and rosacea. It was the best facial ever! And so relaxing. I will absolutely go again.

    Good massage

    This was my first visit at Spa on the Hill. The ambiance is pleasant and it's very convenient to my home. Janelle is a good therapist and followed my directions about light touch but maybe too much so. I am looking forward to going back in a few weeks and will use her again. Sometiimes you just need to work with a massage therapist a couple of times to communicate your needs.

    Great massage/relaxing ambiance

    Janelle did a wonderful job. You feel relaxed and at ease the moment you walk in the door of this haven. Not only do you hae your own room for the massage, but your own bathroom, shower, water, and tea necessities too. Many thanks!

    Great experience!

    I tried Spa on the Hill because it was close to home and got good reviews. I loved it and will definitely be back! The spa was clean and relaxing, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Silvia gave me a choice to either have the full massage I had booked or to spend the time on problem areas (my neck and shoulders.) I chose the latter and have already booked my next session! I'm thrilled to have found such a great spa in my own neighborhood.

    Great spa

    The spa may not look like much from outside, but it's so nice inside. I really enjoyed my massage with Lauren. It was so relaxing, I actually fell asleep at one point. I will be going back and would definitely recommend to others.

    Although Im late giving my review, I wanted to make sure I gave my opinion on the services I received at Spa on the Hill. Staff was very professional and the Tea was the best which made me feel right at home. Arnetta is so professional and knows exactly what she is doing. It was my first time ever getting a Brazilian Wax but she talked me right through it. Ive already scheduled my second session with her and Ill see you all on Sunday but if she can persuade me to come, then SHE IS JUST THAT GOOD

    Nicely done

    My first time at Spa on the Hill...greeted by name and offered a drink while I waited. My therapist was a few minutes late, but quality of her facial services made up for it. I left feeling all glowy :). Thanks Donna, I will be back.

    Great place so close to home.

    My husband gave me a gift certificate for Christmas for a massage. After my fabulous massage I told him I wanted the same gift for Valentines Day, Easter, Flag Day, 4th of July, my birthday, our anniversary, Labor Day, etc. He will never have to think of another gift. I have felt so good since my massage. My aches and pains are gone. The staff is courteous and it is a peaceful environment. I will be a repeat customer.

    Hidden Gem

    I couldn’t have been happier to find this hidden gem in capitol hill. Everything was expertly handled and thoroughly relaxing. I even fell asleep at one point I was so relaxed. And this may seem like an inconsequential thing, but for me the biggest factor is that this is the first spa to truly respect my wishes to avoid a specific area (due to severe ticklishness) during the body treatments and massage. I will definitely be going back to this spa.

    Incredibly Relaxing!!!

    I just moved in the area and was recommended to visit Spa on the Hill for a deep tissue massage. I am SO glad I was recommended this place. Not only is the atmosphere relaxing, but my massage therapist, Lauren, did an amazing job at keeping me comfortable and relaxed. Although the massage was a little painful (it was a deep tissue, so I expected it to be a little painful), I walked out with the biggest smile on my face, and felt 110% better than I did when I walked in.

    Felt Right At Home

    I just moved to DC and have been trying to replace my esthetician for months. THANK GOD for Spa on the Hill! Arnetta made me feel right at home. It was painless, professional, and peaceful. I've already passed out her card to my friends and I can't wait to go back for my services! This is my new spa-home on the hill.

    Great Massage, Great Atmosphere

    I loved the place and I loved Janelle. She listened to my concerns and also was very receptive to my preferences (ie I really like deep tissue massage even if it hurts a bit). If it weren't so expensive, I would surely go back. In fact, if I ever come into millions of dollars, I'll have a massage there every week (and gift them to others as well)!

    Sandy was wonderful. On of the best massages I have ever had! The place was very clean. Rooms were big and comfy (maybe a little cold) but beautiful decor. I would most definitely come back.

    Signature Massage Package

    Sylvia was attentive to my problem areas, heard my concerns, informative about things I can do to avoid knotting in the future and gave me one of the best massages I've had in DC. It was relaxing but also worked out my problem areas. She was sweet too! I definitely recommend her.

    Arnetta's great!

    I've been to quite a few spas for waxing & while waxing isn't comfortable -- it's the least painful of any spa I've ever been to. I highly recommend her -- she'll keep you chatting, put you at ease & the hair is gone before you know it.

    Learned New Things About My Body

    My massage with Silvia at the Spa on the Hill was the best massage of my life. I am a drummer and have been having some pain in my hands. Silvia was not only able to tell exactly where the source of the tension was and relax it, she was able to give me concrete recommendations for how to prevent this tension from building up in the future. You couldn't ask for more from a massage!

    I received a very good massage from Becky, who was warm and friendly, and expertly worked on an area of my body that was very tense and uncomfortable. I felt much better afterwards.

    Wonderful!

    Donna gave me a wonderful facial. I had come in due to some mild breakouts and she did wonders! She was very sensitive to what I was asking and explained each step of the process,which I appreciated. The spa itself is a small converted townhouse, giving it a cozy feel and a personal touch. I definitely will be coming back!

    Simple and Gorgeus Airbrush Tanning

    Went in a for quick tan on a weeknight. Super friendly staff and a beautiful results. My only complaint is that there isn't a lot of privacy. The "tent" is in a room just off the lobby with only a curtain separating and there is a window in the back of the tanning room with only a sheer curtain. Other than that, perfect.

    I visited Spa on the Hill as a birthday present to myself; I absolutely enjoyed every aspect of the kindness and professionalism that was presented. I have since then recommended Spa on the Hill to my friends and family, great scenery and relaxation atmosphere. Will visit again!

    Lovely location, good service

    This was my first visit to Spa on the Hill. The location is lovely and peaceful. I booked the signature massage, which is 60 minutes. What I didn't know is that it comes with a foot scrub and plate of refreshments. My masseuse was running late, probably by 10-15 minutes. She started off my treatment by telling me about the foot scrub and also asking if I wanted to just skip it. The massage was very good at times, but at other times felt like I was just being moisturized rather than massaged.

    I forgot I was in DC!

    I booked a last minute appt. with Rebecca and she was able to work out a lot of stress in my shoulders, neck and back. I have had massages all over the US, and I will book again with Rebecca.

    I've had massages at various spas in DC and this was by far the best massage I have ever had! I had the signature massage. I love that they give you a little plate of snacks following the massage. My body feels great and I had a great night's sleep!

    I arrived five minutes early -- but was made to feel that I was late and that my massage would be shortened as a result. Didn't set a great tone, but the massage was fine. The refreshments after the treatment were a nice touch.

    First time Getting Waxed!

    After having several conversations with friends I finally got up enough nerve to get a brazilian wax! Having all sorts of fear of the potential pain and not to mention the humiliation of being exposed...it actually wasn't bad! The pain was minimal and the professionalism demonstrated by Arnetta was top notch!!! They recognize the clients discomfort and she really makes you feel comfortable considering the circumstances!!! I definetly will recommend Spa on the Hill to everyone I know!!!

    Great Place for Pre-Natal Service

    Spa on the Hill was a wonderful experience. I had the 90-minute signature Pre-Natal massage and they really did a wonderful job hitting all my sore aches and pains! The staff was very cordial, the spa's environment was very relaxing and quaint. I would definitely recommend this for any woman expecting a child as a great way to unwind. Am very thankful my husband surprised me with this for our anniversary! Highly recommend!

    Great Massage

    I took my husband for a couples massage on his birthday. We have had massages before, but this was by far the best. The room was beautiful, the treats after were a nice touch, and we had a great time. He kept commenting how amazing it was all weekend. Thank you for helping me make his birthday special!

    Charming and relaxing

    I received a gift card for a facial for my birthday. Since I never treat myself to a spa session, I didn't know what to expect. I was delighted at the charming and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed the careful attention and expertise of my therapist. From start to finish, I had a wonderful experience. I don't think I'll be able to wait for another birthday before I go back!

    A treat rather than torture :)

    Arnetta was terrific. The location is quaint and super convenient. Arnetta is easy to talk to you and puts you at ease immediately. She did a great job, very clean. Plus the time went by really quick.

    Outstanding-best massage I've had

    Only been there once so far but definitely will be back. Outstanding massage with Sylvia. She takes the time to get to know you and figure out key spots to work on so it is very customized. And they give you fruit and cookies after your treatment--I'm hooked.

    Becky is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

    Just a few months pregnant, I started getting massages with Becky to relieve my stress about potentially losing another baby. I bought a package of 5 massages to force myself not to make excuses for not going. Becky literally got me through my entire pregnancy and now that my dear Chanel is 16 months old and a whopping 28 pounds, Becky continues to relieve my neck, shoulder, and back pain. Her hands are amazing and her spirit is warm and genuine - well worth the drive from Southern Maryland!

    Great Waxing Experience

    After reading literally hundreds of reviews of various spas/waxers in D.C., I chose Spa on the Hill because of the great things I'd read about Arnetta. I'm SO glad that I did. This was my first Brazilian (actually, my first wax of anything), but Arnetta made me feel completely comfortable. It was quick and there was very minimal discomfort (which is expected w/ a bikini wax), but no pain. Arnetta has a sweet personality and she knows what she's doing. I'll definitely become a regular here.

    Wonderful Experience

    I had an appointment with Arnetta for eyebrows, chin and Brazilian wax. She was very gentle and patient and the services were as painless as possible for wax. The service area was clean and gave a very relaxing feel. I enjoyed and will definitely be back!!

    My first Brazilian

    I went to Spa on the Hill for my first Brazilian wax. Being relatively new to bikini waxes in general, I was pretty nervous. Arnetta did a wonderful job and I have to say that waxing was practically painless! The facilities were clean, relaxing, and I loved that the decor had a little personality. Very charming! The staff was polite, professional and friendly. I'll definitely be going back and even looking into facials and other services as Christmas gifts.

    Sylvia is my new guru

    I came for stress management, I unloaded my life onto Sylvia and I was in good hands. Lovely home atmosphere, pricey, but it's the hill and it's worth it when I can cruise there by bike. Lovely front desk guy, easy in and out process. I'll be going back next month.

    Great Airbrush Tan

    I had my first Airbrush Tan ever this past weekend. Tiyonna made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions. The color is great, and looks natural. I'll definitely go back!

    GREAT experience

    Arnetta one of the owners couldn't have been more welcoming and wonderful...she fit me in last minute, offered some light eats and water while I waited for my massage. Sylvia's prenatal massage was fabulous and she explained some of the back pain I have been having, worked a lot of it out and gave me some pointers for keeping it loose. Overall a great experience and one I will definitely repeat soon!

    Awesome Prenatal Massage!

    I had the most wonderful experience at Spa on The Hill! The staff are incredibly friendly, the location is super convenient, and my masseuse Janelle was amazing! I am 23 weeks pregnant, and this was my first prenatal massage. I was a bit nervous initially, but Janelle was warm, personable, and made me feel at ease! I had the most relaxing massage, and almost fell asleep! I will most certainly be back -- Thank you Spa on The Hill!

    Great 60 Minute Massage

    I was so pleasantly surprised by the spa environment and the health benefits of the massage. Often times, you can get a really decadent relaxing experience or have a therapeutic massage (not always both). The massage here both unkinked some very tense muscles and was highly enjoyable. Becky was amazing.

    Calming and so friendly

    I had been to Spa on the Hill for massages before but never for one of their new spa offerings until now. It is a lovely calming space and the staff are attentive, friendly, and made it a lovely experience. Plus using their online booking function makes it so easy to plan your day.

    As pleasant as waxing gets

    For as long as I live in D.C., I'll never go anywhere else for waxing. From the moment you step inside, it's clear that Spa on the Hill is very caring with its clients. First, I completed a brief questionnaire about my experience with waxing in the past. The person who did my waxing tailored her approach to the information I provided. Arnetta was gentle and meticulous, and extremely professional. It was -- dare I say -- a pleasant experience!

    Fabulous Micro Dermabrasion Facial

    This was my first one ever and I am thrilled with the results! Arnetta was amazing, the experience was very relaxing. I have already made an appointment for my next facial.     Very nice and great service

    Fantastic service, very nice location and interior. I went it for a back wax and I was understandably a bit scared. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Spa on the Hill made turned the entire painful process into a great experience.

    Great Deep Tissue Massage

    I had a 45 deep tissue Massage with Janelle. Even though it was only 45 min she was great and really massaged and stretched what felt like every muscle in my body. She massages with pretty firm pressure for anyone who is an athlete and has tight muscles. The place is very quaint and cute and I would definitely recommend it to others and come back again. Thanks!

    Excellent first visit!

    I went to Spa on the Hill for a brazillian with Arnetta using a buywithme voucher and it was great! Obviously a brazillian is going to be painful but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and Arnetta was fast and professional and made me feel a lot more at ease because she was very friendly. I don't know when I will go again but I definitely will and highly recommend Spa on the Hill to anyone else!

    Best Brazillian Wax!!

    I had a Brazilian wax with Arnetta and I would definitely go back. I’ve had Brazillians in the past, but not as well done as with SOTH. First, Arnetta had great bedside manner and second, it barely hurt. In addition, the space is very inviting. I haven’t tried the other services, but I’m confident that they are all just as good. I think anyone coming here would be pleased with the service.

    I'm a newby to the luxurious life of massages. I had the Desert Stone Therapy massage. All I can say is...Aahh! It was WONDERFUL and Sandy was fabulous. I also had the Organic Wellness Facial by Donna. TERRIFIC! I've already made my next appointment for both!

    Excellent Signature & Prenatal Massage/Hypnobirthing Class

    I have been the lucky recipient of two wonderful massages at Spa on the Hill: prenatal and Signature. Both were heavenly. The prenatal massage was fantastic even before the massage started - with their pillow system I was able to lie on my belly for a while, something I hadn't done in months! And it just got better. My husband and I took a hypnobirthing class there with Laura, and it was a great experience, as well.

    Fabulous Find!

    What a neighborhood gem! Took my aunt here while she was in town visiting for a relaxing girls weekend.     Best Deep Tissue Massage EVER

    I had a Buy With Me voucher and wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the yelp reviews were pretty good, so I gave it a shot. So glad I did. Janelle gave me the best deep tissue massage I've ever gotten, and I've been getting massages for years. The place is nice and quiet and the staff were very friendly and pleasant. I arrived early and they took me in early. Great experience. Will definitely go back and recommend without hesitation.

    Definitely recommended for waxing!

    I have had few experiences with waxing at a salon - primarily because I always left slightly dissatisfied with the experience. Arnetta puts you right at ease with her professional yet personable tone, and is very knowledgeable providing great tips and feedback.     Great Spray Tan!

    Tiyonna applied a GREAT tan to my incredibly pasty, pale skin. The color came out natural and perfectly placed - I look like I've had a week at the beach. Perfect bronzing, gradient in the right areas, and no orange lines! This is my new favorite thing. And the fact that this magical transformation only took a matter of minutes to apply is the best part.

    Spa on the Hill--Place for a Great Massage!

    Although I have had many good massages, this was the best one yet! Silvia spent time talking to me and finding out what was going on with my body, so she concentrated on problem areas. She made suggestions for what I could do for pain I had been experiencing. I was so impressed with the service and that I booked a session for the end of the month!

    Best Ever

    Couldn't have asked for better

    An amazind and relaxing afternoon!

    I had a 90 min signature massage w/ Silva. Fantastic! I was relaxed & destressed and felt wonderful afterward. She was responsive to my needs & really worked the areas that I requested. I also enjoyed having time afterward to eat a delightful snack, drink water and enjoy my spa experience. If you live on the hill it couldn't be more convenient and is similarly priced to many of the other spas in the area. Why schlep to Georgetown when you can have a better experience in your neighborhood.

    Arenetta is AMAZING!!

    Arenetta is super nice and does an amazing job. She does not take short cuts with her work and makes sure you leave feeling great and satisfied. I got an organic wellness facial yesterday and she gave me many simple tips to keep my skin clear. She actually paid attention to what I was saying and kept in mind that I couldn't afford high end skin products.

    Best Massage I've Ever Had!

    I had a 60-minute therapeutic massage with Jannell this past week. It was so great-- worked out the knots in my back, neck and shoulders, but not painful, just the right amount of pressure. The atmosphere in the spa is really nice and it's very clean. I will definitely be back for all my spa needs. I highly recommend it for anyone who lives on or near the Hill.

    Over worked and needing to relax

    Spa on the hill was adorable, professional, and super easy to get to. It was reccomended to me by a friend who happened to stumble upon them online. If you are stumbling upon them now, save yourself the search time and just call and book an appointment. You won't regret it! P.S. My favorite part was after the massage when I got to relax in the room on my own and eat cheese, crackers, and strawberries after rinsing off in the super cute adjoining bathroom. Pure bliss.

    AMAZING!!

    I had a 90 min prenatal massage with Becky and it was wonderful. She was perfect with the amount of pressure and very sensitive to my level of comfort. I definitely will be returning to her before the baby comes.

    Great massuese

    Had Laura for a theraputic massage. She listened to my health issues and customized the massage for me. Felt great afterwards. Have had problems at other places, so this was a relief. Nice quiet atmosphere. Very convenient for those who live on or near Capitol Hill.

    Heavenly Hands

    I had Lauren for a full body massage yesterday. I informed her of the areas that needed the most work and she did an AMAZING job. She found knots and funky points I didn't know I had. I wish I could go back again today. At one point it felt so healing that I almost said, "Ok, just stay there for the remaining 45 minutes."

    Painless waxing experience.

    I hadn't been in for a Brazilian wax in quite some time, I had a terrible experience that left me frightened to go again. Arnetta completely changed that. She made the entire experience painless. I barely noticed she was waxing, she has great technique & was a great conversational ability to put you at ease. Going in for a wax every few weeks will no longer be something I dread.

    Nice experience

    I was not sure what to expect, since the massage therapist was not someone I had ever been to before. She and the rest of the staff were pleasant and professional. The massage went well - I didn't really find the lingering alone in the darkened room all that special and relaxing, so when I return, I'll probably try a different massage other than the Signature. Otherwise, a good experience and I am very glad to find this on the Hill and available on weekends.

    I went to Spa on the Hill last night for my first bikini wax, and I was understandably a bit nervous! However as soon as I entered Spa on the Hill, I immediately felt calmer. The decor, the music, the scent---everything was incredibly relaxing. And Arnetta really put me at ease.     Had a wonderful 60-minute massage with Sandy this weekend. She worked a small miracle on my quads and lower back. It was my first time at Spa on the Hill and the atmosphere is very pleasant.     Best therapeutic massage.

    I scheduled my appointment with Lauren P., and she gave me the best massage I've ever had. She listened to what I needed to be worked on, found the tight spots, & worked them out. She also paid special attention to my scoliosis, which was exciting for me because every other masseuse I've experienced has avoided working on that part of my spine. Was also accommodating when I decided to switch the type of treatment from what I originally scheduled. Will definitely schedule with her again.

    Appearances can be deceiving when i arrived at the spa I was surprised as from the outside it looked like someones home - however once in i was put completely at ease. Arnetta was very quick, hygenic and professional - would definately go back and see her again, even though I live one and a 1/2 hours away!!!!

    Arnetta is the BEST!

    I'm searching for a new facialist so armed with my Buy with Me coupon and great reviews, I made an appointment with Arnetta. She welcomed me, went over the form I filled out, asked about any skincare issues/concerns I was having and proceeded to tell me what she will be doing to my face. OMG my 60 minutes went by way too quick! Her touch was gentle (even during the extractions and exfoliation) and my face felt GREAT afterwards. She didn't try to up-sell me any products - love that!

    Very easy-going & relaxing

    I got my fiance and I a massage package for our anniversary and not only did they work with me to schedule appointments at the same time, but allowed me to "gift" 1 of the sessions to a friend for her birthday.     After a scheduling mixup on an earlier massage, Spa on the Hill went above and beyond to make things right. They pay attention to the little things, and I will be a return customer. The location is easy to access, so unlike some spas you won't have an aneurysm trying to find parking. The setting is thoughtful and calm, and the services (mine by Janelle) are top-shelf.     Had a terrific massage from Jenelle yesterday. This was my first massage at Spa on the Hill and I found that Jenelle paid attention to my specific needs and limitations right from the get-go. A lovely, relaxing experience.

    Spa on the Hill

    I went for a prenatal massage, and their rooms are nicer than other places that charge more. The atmosphere was very laid back and calm and my massage was excellent (by Sioux). I scheduled another appointment as soon as I finished.

    great for pregnancy massage

    Very nice atmosphere, not too stuffy. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The pregnancy massage was fabulous, the ability to lie on my stomach after 6 months was great! My therapist gave the exact pressure I asked for, and frequently checked in to make sure it was what I wanted. My only complaint would be that my therapist talked the ENTIRE time, which was not exactly relaxing, but otherwise a great experience.

    relaxing, calm and classy

    I had a prenatal massage with Sioux that changed the forecast for my weekend from near constant pain to total comfort. It was a wonderful treatment and the space is very welcoming. The option to take a quick shower afterward was only made better by the fact that the shower itself was gorgeously tiled... I felt like I was in a magazine. I only wish I lived closer, because if I did I would be back again and again. Thank you, Sioux, for a wonderful treatment!

    Relaxing atmosphere

    Spa on the Hill is a really great place! It has a very nice music and a quite atmosphere that makes you feel like home. Janelle's massage was great. I felt very relaxed and calm in end. Convenient location is another important advantage of this place. I will to return to Spa on the Hill on regular basis now.

    Impressive

    Found Spa on the Hill online while trying to stay within a certain location on a last minute plan. Massage was great, location is perfect with plenty of parking around the neighborhood. Sandy gave me a prenatal relaxation massage and it was just what my body needed. I will definitely go back.

    Excellent pre-natal massage!

    I wanted to go somewhere where they really knew what they were doing, and clearly Spa on the Hill was it! At almost 39 weeks pregnant, I am at my biggest and most uncomfortable, so the massage really meant a lot. Definitely recommend!

    Fabulous!

    I had a prenatal massage with Becky and it was wonderful. She put the perfect amount pressure, focused on the areas that I had specified, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. I highly recommend it.

    Wonderful Massage

    Janelle was terrific. She asked before we started about the areas I especially wanted her to address, but when I added an additional area when we were half way through the massage, she incorporated that too. She is incredibly thorough and gentle. I've never felt so relaxed and the effects lasted well into this next morning. I will definitely return; just wish I could afford to do so weekly!

    Best Massage Ever

    Had a massage with Janelle on Sunday - and it was probably the best I've ever had. I got a deep tissue massage and she focused on my trouble issues (knots in my upper back and tight IT Band) and I felt terrific afterwards! I will definitely be coming back again - THANK YOU!

    I had my very first prenatal massage here and it was hands down the best massage I've ever had anywhere! I will definitely be coming back!     Best Massage in a long time!

    I get massages once a quarter and decided to make an appointment at Spa on the Hill, since I purchased a "Buy With Me" voucher. The place is easy to find and very quaint. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of most spas, they have some of the best staff around! Becky is AMAZING! Fantastic massage! Genius with neck, shoulders, back and FEET! She has the golden touch and I will definitely be back! If you want a good massage... This spot is a GEM!

    SOTH rocks!

    I once again enjoyed my massage at Spa on the Hill. Janelle was excellent at working the stress out of my shoulders and quads and I think I've been sleeping better since. The SOTH folks are very professional and the decor is beautiful and relaxing. Definitely a must-do if you are a Hill resident committed to local businesses.     I recently received a prenatal massage by Sandy at Spa on the Hill. She was very nice and very professional. I was a little nervous as it has been many years since I've had a massage and I had never had a prenatal massage.     Very cozy

    I had a great experience at Spa on the Hill. My husband gave me the mother's day package and it was awesome, when I left the place I felt like I was on vacation for a week.     Little with a great BIG PUNCH!!!!

    I was extremly suprised when I walked into the door. A cute little spa with very big expectations. From the begining to the end I was so pleased. I'm use to large full service spa's and was unsure before I walked into the Spa on the Hill. After my experience at the spa I stopped at the desk and booked my next appointment. The refreshments, ambeonce, service was all emaculent..... When ever in doubt you must try it out. Kudos!!!!

    Firm and fabulous

    I had a wonderful signature massage at Spa on the Hill yesterday. Lauren actually listened when I told her I like a firm massage, and I could feel her zone in on the spots where I hold the most tension in my back. The peaceful music, scents, and snacks afterward were great touches.

    Excellent Massage

    I made an appointment to get the Signature Massage with Janelle, and I am quite impressed. The ambiance of the spa is soothing, which is a bit unexpected within a row house. I highly recommend the Signature Massage - the foot scrub alone is worth it! Janelle is an amazing massage therapist. She found and worked out knots I didn't even know I had in my shoulders.

    Exactly What I Needed

    I had excruciating pain in my shoulders, neck and back. A good massage was desparately needed! I found that and more at the Spa on the Hill! My masseuse was very interested in deliverying just what I needed and where I needed it!. The spa itself is peaceful and clean . All in all, just what the doctor ordered!

    The post-natal massage is a MUST HAVE for all new mothers on the Hill. Sandy was fantastic! It was a great way to remind yourself about yourself! I highly recommend it and encourage new dads to thank their wives by giving them a post-natal massage once the baby is born!

    Exactly what I wanted.

    As someone who has more knots in my shoulders that I can count, I love to get a deep tissue massage. I always struggle with finding someone who "can" give me the exact pressure I like, but not at Spa on the Hill. I have consistently been happy with every masseuse that I have worked with. They always give me exactly what I expect and exactly what my muscles need. Everyone is extremely professional while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This is a great place and I recommend them to everyone.

    More info than I expected

    In a good way. I had a couples massage class and found Laura to be a veritable fount of information above and beyond massage. I plan to return for prenatal and induction massages. I feel safe going there for massage as they obviously are well trained and know what they are doing.

    One of the highlights during my pregnancy

    So far, I have had two prenatal massages and one couples massage class at Spa on the Hill. I could not ask for better care and better service than what I have been given every time I go. I love the staff, and it has definitely helped me with all the aches and pains that come with pregnancy. I highly recommend their services.

    Great Prenatal Massage

    I got a 75-minute prenatal massage by Becky. It was just what I needed to ease my 8-months pregnant aches and pains. She had special pillows and equipment to accomodate the belly and make laying down actually comfortable. One of the best parts, though, was having the time after the massage to relax with the fruit, cookies and water and freshen up in the attached bathroom before having to go back out and face the world!

    Stress Buster!

    I left Spa on the Hill totally relaxed and energized after a deep tissue massage from Janelle. She is truly talented. The staff is excellent and the place is cute and cozy. I booked my next appointment before leaving. I highly recommend this spa.

    Rating for Spa on the HIll

    Hi, I may be a snob because my first massage ever was in Santa Fe NM which is the Mecca for alternative care. At any rate, I thought that Janelle was pretty good. She did the trick. One thing I would suggest for the location as a whole is better lighting. That one light overhead in the room is terrible. Other than that I have enjoyed Spa on the Hill pretty much every time I have gone. I like the foot massage and the face cloth at the end; I could have gone for more face massage!

    i had a great massage and it's such a convenient place for hill residents/workers. The spa is also right near Eastern Market metro. Becky gave me my massage and she's very responsive and personalizes the massage to the individual's needs. I highly recommend her.

    Okay so not only do they give amazing massages their customer service is outstanding. I'm able to make an appointment online that sends me a confirmation AND they call to remind you.     Great massage, great atmosphere

    Spa on the Hill is a great spot. The atmosphere is very warm, but not overwhelming. You get your own suite, with a full bath and sitting room. My therapist Genel was very knowledgeable and gave me an excellent massage. I highly recommend Spa on the Hill.

    Great experience!

    I have been to Spa on the Hill twice, and enjoyed both times. The first was a prenatal massage. I consider it one of the best massages of my life. Words do not describe the comfort it provided. The therapist was an expert. My husband and I just had a Valentine's massage. It was great. We arrived early, and they immediately took us to our room. We were treated well, had a relaxing massage (excellent even forDH who needs a lot of pressure), and enjoyed some yummy snacks.

    Fantastic Spa Experience

    My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic couples massage as a Valentine's Day treat and came away with the goal of making it an annual (or hopefully more frequent) event. The spa atmosphere was delightful, the practitioners touch so soothing, and we wrapped up the experience with some nice strawberries and sparkling cider that provided a delightful finishing touch. I'm so glad to find such a wonderful treasure like this in the neighborhood. I sincerely look forward to going back!!

    I booked a couples massage and it was hands down one of the best spa experiences. The ambienece of the spa was relaxing and friendly, our massage therapists were wonderful in helping us relax as well as working out a few kinks. I would highly recommend Spa on the Hill and plan on going back.

    Wonderful Post-Natal Massage

    I recently had a post-natal massage at Spa on the Hill with Janelle. It was incredibly relaxing and my body felt much better the following day (although a little sore at first). I don't remember when I have had a better massage.

    Great experience

    The booking staff, the facility and the masseuse, Janelle, were great. I had the room with the bathroom this time and it was great to have a shower afterwards. So very glad and thankful that this place is in my neighborhood. One suggestion would be to provide slippers because the floor was cold after the shower.

    I had a 90-minute therapeutic prenatal massage. The masseuse was VERY accommodating, professional, and made my poor, sore body feel great. The spa itself is in a rowhouse - interesting concept, and I think it worked very well. I loved the private bathroom off of the massage room. Great experience all around!

    I had a wonderful massage - very relaxing! The absolute only complaint is that the room was very chilly and even though I was covered with a blanket, I was still cold. But really good experience. The practitioner was wonderful!

    Nice surroundings, nice massage

    I really think this is a cute and sweet place. I came here for a prenatal massage and everyone was very nice. I was immediately addressed and everything was on time and prompt - I was offered water while I waited. One bad thing was that the massage room was cold. The masseuse was good and had a nice firm hand. She was not the best I've ever had, but it was a solid massage. The massage table was actually one of the best things about the massage - it let me lay on my belly which was amazing!

Kevin, on the front end, is patient and accommodating in scheduling appointments and Becky is simply amazing.     I like to think I'm one of the most loyal customers of Spa on the Hill. I've been receiving massages there for more than 8 months, twice a week and will definitely continue to do so.     Totally Wonderful Experience

    I highly recommend Sandy at Spa on the Hill. I received a Natural Induction massage that was ultra relaxing and peaceful. Her technique was most soothing to my aching back and hips. During the service, I actually felt my baby calmly move further down than he was. And she taught me how to apply the acupressure techniques to help progress my labor. Great experience.

    Couples Massage

    What a great experience! Spa on the Hill is a hidden treasure. We didn't know until we arrived that they specialize in pregnancy massages, so we were a little uneasy. But we each had a tailored massage by a wonderful masseuse in a pleasant environment. Only suggestion: as much as the music is peaceful, it could be elevated slightly to drown out city noise. But we will go back again - alone and together!

    A lovely experience

    I had the 90-min. prenatal relaxation massage with Becky and had debated about buying the loner time, but at the end I was wondering how it could all be over so soon! It was a wonderful and very thorough massage, and Becky was so nice and concerned that I be completely comfortable. It was the perfect way to relax from the stresses of the pregnant body (after 37 weeks) and get in tune with my body before labor.

    was not impressed at all

    i do not see what the hype is over this spa. i was not impressed at all with the message - i had to flip over a few times (which meant dealing with the head piece) - I asked for more pressure a few times and i was actually thinking of cutting the message short since it was a waste of time and money. I gave it one star because they were nice and the house was clean.

    Excellent massage by therapists who know what they're doing!

    I've had a lot of bodywork done by a lot of great massage therapists, and I was really impressed by Laura at Spa on the Hill -- she took my own preferences and physical foibles into account and did a great pre-natal (34+ weeks) massage. Also had useful information/advice on getting ready for labor. Just wish I could go back more often!

    Great Results!

    I just wish I had gotten the longer massage... I felt like I had spent an afternoon at the beach when I left. While I didn't go into labor that evening or the next day (I'm at 40 weeks-still waiting but not late!) The next day I found I was able to buckle my own sandals without issue. That was a great surprise!

    It was GREAT!!!

    My prenatal massage was great! I had experience a pregnancy massage before when I was told to lay on my side but this massage was way better. I was able to lie on my stomach, believe it or not, without any pressure or pain. The table was made for pregnant women. Becky made sure that I was comfortable and at ease the entire time. The gentle massage had soothed me completely. I can not wait for my next appointment. I am even paying for a friend to come with me the next time!

    My massage was great. Becky targeted exactly the muscles that needed to be worked on, and used varied techniques to work on the muscles. The entire experience was very relaxing, and the professionalism was paramount. The best spa in D.C. that I've been to.

    Great prenatal massage

    I've had two prenatal massages at Spa on the Hill, one with Becky and one with Amanda, and both were fantastic. I would actually rank both massages as two of the best massages I've ever had. In both cases, they were able to identify sore spots in my muscles and knew the perfect amount of pressure to use without my saying anything. Also, the pillows they use to let you lay on your side are very comfortable - I wish I could get that comfortable in my bed at home!

    Excellent Massage & Friendly Staff

    I've had 3 massages with Missy at Spa on the Hill in the few months I've been working on project in DC. I leave tomorrow, and wish this kind of exceptional service, and warm, caring staff existed in New York City! Missy was not only a great massage therapist, but she was very knowledgeable about sports injuries and training methods.

    Wonderful prenatal massage

    I had a wonderful prenatal massage with Missy yesterday - much better (and less expensive) than the others I have had at the Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons. The spa has a nice, homey atmosphere and is spotlessly clean. I also loved the Erbaviva products. I intend to return for more prenatal massages, and also for postnatal massages and the infant massage class.

    nice massage, nice conversation

    this massage was a birthday gift, and I chose a day I really was suffering with tight muscles. When I left, all those achy spots had been eased out, and I felt all noodly and easy.

    Great Experience

    This was my first massage ever, and it was a wonderful experience. Missy really listened to my needs and tailored the massage as such. As a chronic headache and back pain sufferer, I left feeling so much better. I have already returned for a 2nd massage!

    Exactly what I asked for

    Very few therapists can provide a firm massage that doesn't leave you feeling beat up. Becky was amazing. She hit my troubled spots (shoulders & neck and lower back), ironed out the knots, and left me feeling very relaxed. Superb! The facility was ok (the music kept having static which was distracting from my zen state), which is the only thing holding me back from making it a 5-star.

    Perfect

    It is so wonderful to have a place on the Hill where you can receive relaxing and therapeutic massages in such a welcoming setting. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. And, it's wonderful to have online appointments! They are on the cutting edge of perfect customer service. Highly recommended!

    Wonderful addition to the Hill

    Finally, a spa on the Hill! I've had two therapeutic massages this month to help with some back pain that persisted since pregnancy - they were both great! Really relaxing, certainly therapeutic, and provided much needed relief. I also had a prenatal massage that was terrific. The spa itself is nicely done, and the staff is professional and go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience!

    A very positive experience, with a professional staff, wonderfully peaceful atmosphere and long lasting results. I tried the hot stone massage on the advice of the staff, and it was the best massage experience in memory. I plan to return often and recommend to my hill friends.y

    Heaven on the Hill

    After weeks of working on our new renovation a visit to Spa on the Hill was truly Heaven on the Hill. A peaceful and healing setting to relax and leave yourself in the capable hands of your therapist. You can feel your sore tired body and mind revive.

    A True Retreat in the Middle of DC

    I've been to many spas in DC and other places, I am truly impressed by Spa on the Hill. It is a hidden gem just a few blocks from Eastern Market - the building is quaint and the spa therapy rooms are just beautiful. The therapist (Jannell) is highly skilled and professional - not to mention that the treatments are just amazing! If you are in need of a little revitalization/destresser - anything... this is the best spa in Washington DC.

    Highly Recommended

    I've been for three prenatal massages now and each one is better than the last! Everyone on staff is knowledgeable and courteous and I will continue to be a client for as long as they're on the hill (actually, I'd probably even follow them if they moved!)
