Wonderful, Caring Practitioner
I am an acupuncturist, and I am very particular about who I will receive treatment from. Having recently moved to the area from California, I needed to find someone to work on my pain, digestion, and emotional balance. Returning Client
I have been to Michelle McNamara for many massage sessions to resolve/relieve shoulder & lower back pain and to simply relieve stress. She starts each session by asking questions. This shows that she honestly cares about my well-being. The facility is always clean and the environment is quiet and comfortable. She ends the sessions by providing stretch sheets to further help. Shoulder blade is staying in place
Thank you to Marcus for the first time in 15 years my shoulder blade is staying in place. The acupuncture, exercises along with the supplements, I am doing so much better. Marcus is so knowledgeable, never rushes you though your appointment, he finds out what your concerns are before he starts the acupuncture. He continues to talk to you as he places the needle in the correct spot explaining why he placed the needle in this area. Thank you Marcus.

New Patient Experience

Wonderful journey
My husband started seeing Marcus in March of this year for CRPS. It was so bad that we were about to give up, but now we have finally been able to mizamize the pain. I think that acupuncture is overlooked to often, and should be given as a first resort, instead of a last. Marcus is a person who truly cares, and has knowledge that you don't get from a traditional doctor, and we really like that. It's worth driving 75 miles to see Marcus.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy
I scheduled my first appointment with Michelle after experiencing craniosacral therapy at a world-class spa. Michelle was warm and welcoming, took the time to find out about my conditions and delivered a thoroughly relaxing, personalized session. Her warmth and healing energy shone through and I felt a deep feeling of relaxation, as if I had had the best possible massage. I'll be visiting Michelle again soon! Highly recommended

One of the best doctors I have ever seen
This was one of the only doctors I have ever seen who took a completely wholistic approach to helping me get better. Asked so many good/helpful questions and listened very well. Marcus has incredible knolwedge and knows the human body and overall health extremely well. I came in with back and shoulder problems but came to a wholistic realization that some of my slow healing was a result of poor diet, lack of vitamins, and not enough hydration. I couldn't recommend this clinic and Marcus more.

Marcus Rhoden is a great healer
I've been seeing Marcus for several years now for occasional relief from all sorts of things: back and neck pain from a car accident, poor sleep and low energy, and my overall health. Highly recommend Cranio from Michelle
Although Michelle provides an excellent massage, craniosacral therapy has been much more effective for me and my fibromyalgia symptoms. Michelle answered all of my questions and it didn't take long for me to realize the healing effects. I wake up in the morning feeling like a 30-something again instead of the 80-something I had gotten used to. Both the constant pain and frequent headaches are a thing of the past.

Above and beyond expectations!
I went in to Dr. Marcus in pain from a sinus infection. I left with so much more than just a treatment for it! His approach is to truly understand his patient and he outdoes himself by giving a complete recommendation for a healthy lifestyle. He did relieve my sinus pain for sure, but also in the process gave me valuable suggestions for improving my overall health. It really works!
I had some hip pain for several months and had been seeing a chiropractor. I was a little apprehensive about the needles, but Marcus was great. It didn't hurt at all and was actually very relaxing. My pain was diminished greatly after the first treatment. I highly recommend it!

Left with Hope
My husband went to see Marcus for RSD/CRPS. We were to the point of just giving up. Not only did we leave with hope, but we were told that it will get better. Amazing results!
Went to Healthy lives for sciatic pain. Honestly did not have any high hopes in relieving it, alas! 3 weeks later and my discomfort has decreased to near non-existent levels. Marcus is great! I will definitely use him any time I have any other problems.

Marcus really cares
I expected a cursory exam, some treatment, and a big bill. I was surprised to find an extensive and thorough exam followed by two full hours of treatment! Wow! Marcus really cared about me and my situation, I would confidently recommend him to friends, family, and you! His treatment is extensive and his price is fair plus he accepts many different insurance carriers and will check to see if they cover the treatments for you. Again, Marcus really cares.

My thought is, "Acupuncture first, if that does not cause a notable shift in my reason for treatment - only then will I consider going to my general practitioner. Impressed
I have Periferal Neurapathy and have been on meds for around 5 mos. I read that acupuncture had reasonably good results so I tried it. This was my first time and the results pretty good. Marcus was honest and very helpful. I am returning for another treatment with even more enthusiasm.

Finally relief
I am so thankful that I found Markus to treat my migraine headaches.For many years these headaches have been painful and debilitating.I have tried neurologists,chiropractors,neuromascular massage and even another accupunkturists-all with limited results.The first time I didn't notice any results.However,after 3-4 visits my symptoms were easing up and after several month I am finally feeling relief on a consistent basis.He always takes a time to evaluate all my other problems and help me a lot!

Warm, Open and Accepting Presence
I came in for a massage and as I was describing my physical and emotional ailments, Michelle suggested that I think about STR (Somatic Trauma Resolution). So, we skipped the massage and began the work. Since I was previously unfamiliar with this work, Michelle grounded the concepts with metaphors that alleviated my mind's need to 'understand' while encouraging my body to speak to me. Tried acupuncture for the first time!
I arrived for my first appointment with Marcus a few minutes late and did not have my forms filled out. Despite the double whammy Marcus was very pleasant and kind. He was genuinely caring and I felt comfortable with expressing all of my health concerns with him. Also, that was my first acupuncture treatment ever and my experience with March was great! I felt relief the next day and I plan to continue my treatments with Marcus.

After just one treatment

Back Pain Completely Gone
When I first met with Marcus he asked me on a scale of 1-10 what was my pain level, it was a 10. After 2 treatments the pain was gone. I had doctors that wanted to do surgery but with Marcus's help I did not. I have other issues related to nerves that he continues to work with me and I'm feeling better with every visit. He is a young man that is extremely skilled, knowledgeable and professional. The only healthcare provider I have seen that makes me feel likes he really cares.

Nothing short of amazing
Marcus is amazingly skilled as an acupuncturist, we can say nothing less. Allow some time for it to gradually work, but the results are excellent! We wish we'd known about someone like him, 18 years ago when Jennifer first got the RSD pain syndrome!

Available, thorough, capable
I recently injured my lower back and dealt with the muscle spasms and pain for three days. The fourth morning I was awakened by intense pain and numbness in one thigh which I knew to be a bad sign. Marcus saw me that evening. His assessment confirmed a disc injury. I was treated that evening, sent home with detailed instructions and chinese herbs. After a followup treatment the next night and 36 hours of rest I was pain free! Best acupuncturist I've seen!

Knowledgeable, Patient Centered
I had a great experience with Marcus. He took the time to listen to me!!! and worked with me to prioritize and solve my problems. I had a couple of sessions with him and my chronic pain for over 5 months decreased tremendously. It almost disappeared. I ended up having surgery two weeks later because they found a big mass on my right ovary and surgery was inevitable. I am planning to go back to see Marcus and use his help to find that desired state of balance and avoid getting sick in the futur

Incredible! Marcus is a blessing!
Marcus is absolutely amazing!! Although I have only seen him 2 times, I am completely impressed! I was having chronic pain all over, and especially in my lower back. He has been able to relieve the pain as well as give me guidance around diet and exercise. He definitely cares about his patients as evident through his taking time to ask questions, follow up, be patient, etc. He really knows what he is doing and is able to explain things in a way that I can understand. Marcus is a wonderful healer and wonderful human being!!!
I started seeing Marcus for my asthma due to a recommendation from my brother in law. I had previiously been to see a Five Element accupuncturist, so I knew accupuncture was beneficial for asthma. The results that I have benefitted from weekly visits for three months of seeing Marcus are far more exstensive than the results from twice a week visits for six month with my previous accupuncturist. Marcus is a delightful caring person , he has certainly enhanced my well being.

Marcus is a great acupuncturist!
Jennifer came to him with stage 3 RSD that she's had since 1993, and pain levels between 7-9 on the 0-10 scale. She was taking 8-9 of the 10mg methdone a day and still had all that pain. He's brought the pain down to the 4-6 range for her in only a few short months, and she's now down to 5 of the 10mg methadone a day. We never expected this much progress! THANK YOU MARCUS!!!

Wonderful Practitioner
He has a wonderful understanding of what it means to work in the health industry. His whole attention to detail is great. He is a caring practitioner whose focus is not solely on making money, but for the health and well being of the individual. Thank you for the time and attention when we come in.

Top notch care!
Marcus is great! I was so impressed that he spent so much time with me the first visit. He really is thorough and cares if you get better. The office is nice and comfortable. I had not tried acupuncture so I was a little scared but Marcus has such a nice demeanor that it was easy. I would recommend it to anyone.

Marcus is the best!
Marcus is great! He has helped me tremendously over the past 6 months. On my first visit, he spent 2 hours listening to me and going through my first treatment, which never had happened at my doctors office. I have become a firm believer of acupuncture and it's healing power. Thanks Marcus!

Great experience
Very thorough questioning during the initial visit. Marcus was gentle and explained the procedures he did quite well. The follow-up call the next day was appreciated. I look forward to subsequent visits.

Great for a first timer!
This was my first time with an acupuncturist. I was nervous about the whole needle thing. Marcus made me feel really at ease. I was afraid he was going to be one of those "zen-hippie" people, but he was really laid-back and really funny. He really took his time and found out everything about me, explained his thoughts really well, and was so much fun to be around for 2 hour.

Marcus is so very thorough
I have not taken allergy medicine for two and half months after Marcus did an allergy clearing. I had severe pain in my hip and after one treatment, I felt instant relief. I have had acupuncture from others and never did I have results as profound as I have with Marcus.

Delighted with the results so far
After fighting with wrist and shoulder pain and losing much sleep for several years, Marcus has allowed me to be virtually pain-free and I'm able to sleep again. This is all within only 3 weeks.
