    Orthotics for athletic shoes

    Brad was very thorough and patient in designing and creating orthotics for me. He was very interested in getting my bones aligned correctly , watched intently how I walk and made adjustments to the orthotics as needed. I highly recommend the foot lab experience for anyone with foot related problems.

    Orthotics for everyday use

    I recently had an incredible buying experience at Hi Tempo. I asked to be fit me with orthotics to relieve chronic foot pain. Brad carefully checked my foot, thoroughly explained the dynamics of the problem and then crafted a custom insole which is still relieving 100% of the discomfort. This was all accomplished in a fun atmosphere and in a timely manner. After this experience, I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from Hi Tempo!

    Somebody listened!

    Finally! After several years of skiing in boots that wobbled, hurt, made my feet numb, or all of these at once, somebody finally took the time to sit down, figure out what was going on, and then start fixing it. Other shops went for the quick fix that didn't fix it. Brad Nelson had the patience and the expertise to really address the underlying problems.

    I was able to get my boots adjusted on short notice, just a few days shy of our trip out west. It was such a relief to have an expert help me out, making a few minor adjustments which helped immensely. They are now so comfortable, I may start wearing them to work. Thanks Hi Tempo!!

    Boot Fitting and Repair

    I was stressing about getting new boots because I am very picky and was not excited about spending $700 on new boots. Hi Tempo got my old boots repaired and fit properly after six years of being stored in my basement because I couldn't even get my foot into them. I didn't even think it was possible! I have been to nearly every ski shop in the cities over the last few months and Hi Tempo has the best service around! They have a new loyal customer!

    excellent service

    I came into Hi Tempo to have custom foot beds put in my ski boots and to have my ski's balanced. Brad was very knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. Best of all, he was honest. He did not try and sell me something I didn't need just to make extra money. To me, that shows integrity and I will definitely shop there again in the future.

    Brad was very knowledgeable, and has a passion for helping skiers to stand level in their boots. The foot-bed orthotic insert is the best product that I have found (I got rid of my other inserts).

    My Experience was Great at Hi Tempo

    I just purchased Fischer Hybrid Vacuum ski boots and Blizzard Viva 7.6 skis. I also got custom insoles and the vacuum fit for the boots. My experience with both the sales rep (Hunter) and the orthodics expert (Brad) was great. They helped me understand the differences in the equipment and Brad did a nice job of explaining the fitting process, he sure knows his stuff. I was referred to Hi Tempo and I am very glad that is where I went.

    Awesome Experience

    I wish I'd met Brad Nelson years ago. His custom boot inserts have helped my skiing enormously. I've never met anyone who knows how to analyze skiers and determine the exact right inserts to ensure comfort and performance. I also appreciate that Brad didn't try to sell me things I don't need. He tried real hard to make my current boots work. When I was ready to switch to a new boot, I felt fully comfortable putting myself in his hands.

    Outstanding Service

    My son and I purchased ski boots from Hi Tempo and had them custom fitted by Brad. The staff who helped us select the proper boot were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Brad is a "master" in the boot fitting department. He had previously fitted all four family members and now my son and I for a second time. The custom boot fitting really does make a difference! I highly recommend it and Hi Tempo!

    First time customer, and the knowledge and service level terrific. Also worked with Brad in the Foot Lab and was very impressed with the professionalism and customer care exhibited by all. Overall, felt that the Hi Tempo staff provided honest and helpful advice, and that the prices were competitive. Even if they were higher priced, the service factor would make it worth it.

    unfortunately I was back for my 3rd fitting for these liners. first 2 by the sales staff this time by Brad. if you are considering these liners I would highly recommend having someone from the Foot Lab do the fitting.     boot fitting

    I had a pair of ski boots fitted that were purchased at High Tempo by someone else. She decided to become a snowboarder instead. They were the right size but uncomfortable. So I made an appointment. They did a amazing job getting this done. Patience and persistence were the fitters main concern. We just returned from Lutsen and they worked great. Thanks for the superb job in helping me out. I would recommend them to anyone.

    Boot Refitting

    My daughter was having issues with her boots not fitting correctly. Rather than jump on a new purchase we made an appointment with the Footlab. The technicians worked with her closley to identify the problems. In the end the boots were modified and now they fit great and the cost was surpisingly low. Thanks guys for saving me the cost of a new set of boots!

    This is your place if you're shopping for skis!!!

    Excellent experience with the staff at Hi Tempo! I was in the market for skis and was checking out the various locations throughout the cities. I found that these guys were the most helpful and have a wealth of knowledge (and experience). They know their stuff! I would highly recommend anyone to consider them for their downhill skiing needs. The boot fit process is awesome! If you have boots and want to get the best in comfort from them talk to them about the custom insoles.

    Great outfitter

    Got set up with skis and boots along with a custom boot insert. Very good selection of skis at good prices but what really makes them shine is their customer service and the awesome foot lab process. The staff has inexhaustable knowledge and patience and make no pressure on the buying decision. The orthotic fitting process was also awesome and the output is wonderful, makes me wonder how i skied before. You'd be silly not to get all your stuff here.

    Amazing service and knowledge!

    After not having skied in years, I found a great deal on some skis at Hi Tempo and went in to buy them and look at boots. The person helping me was extraordinarily patient and knowledgeable. After working with him, I had more knowledge about ski equiptment than most of my friends who ski every year. Very friendly and helpful. I really havent had better customer support anywhere for anything. Prices are fair and i found there were many discounts. Awesome!

    Excellent system of arranging and confirming appointments underscores the professionalism of the Hi Tempo ski boot fitting process. Having a good selection of boots to try on and evaluate with concentrated assistance on the part of the fitter makes for a confident customer. We will see about comfort and performance on the hill.

    Custom Insert

    The end product was amazing concerning the condition of one of my feet. Brad designed and made 2 sets of inserts for my tennis shoes in 45 minutes and they were perfect. How can one ask for more. 60 years with Hi-Tempo and counting! Never a disappointment. Thanx Sam

    The Process was smooth and not nearly as involved as I thought. This could be good or bad as I haven't skied on my custom footbeds yet. It was a good experience and I'm confident that if I have issues they will take care of me.

    There is no comparable service in the Midwest. Brad and his staff at Hi Tempo are the best boot fitters this side of Jackson Hole. They offer all the best custom liners (Intuition, Zipfit, Conformable) and a wide variety of orthotics (which they really know how to use). Go see 'em and get it done right!

    Technica boot fitting

    Andy did a great job following a develped process of cuff position, canting, and fore/aft balance. He explained every step and paid attention to my feedback. I haven't picked up my modified boots yet but I have high expectations based on his professional approach. Looking forward to the Ski Challenge race camp next week!

    Boot fitting, balancing, and equipment advice.

    The best personalized service! Brad's expert and meticulous fitting of my boots resulted in a measurable boost to my skiing. My Nastar handicaps dramatically improved! Brad, and the rest of the Hi Tempo staff, really take the time to listen and ensure that any equipment I purchase is the right fit for me. They will even tell you when you should stick with the equipment that you already own instead of buying new! They keep the old stuff tuned and running smoothly!!

    Great product/Great service!

    I have tried two versions of these custom insoles in my running shoes and they are both great! The service is just as great as the product. I worked with Brad both times -- he will make sure you have the product that works best for you and that the fit is "just right." I would highly reccommend Hi Tempo.

    Amazing boot fitters, very knowledgable

    Brad is an amazing boot fitting expert. I am a physical therapist- and have never met a boot fitter with this kind of knowledge about anatomy and "balancing" of the foot. I would highly, highly recommend Hi Tempo for custom insoles and advice on boots.

    I have a pair of Intuition ski boot liners which were heated up and fitted into a pair of Tecnica Inferno boots. Ben is the employee who helped me out and he is knowledgeable about Intuition liners. Service was very friendly, and professional. I would return to Hi Tempo for additional boot fitting needs and/or custom insoles if needed.

    custome shoe inserts working great.

    I had a great experience at Hi Tempo getting running shoe inserts. I've had issues with finding good arche supports for years. I've tried many off the shelve versions and they all last for a period of time and seem to flatten out over time. With the Hi Tempo process and backing I'm really pleased with the result so far. Eventhough the cost is high at around $160 for my inserts it's well worth it to save the time and money treating plantar fasciitis issues. I recommend Hi Tempo.

    Brad is the best

    Brad Nelson makes sure my boots fit, plain and simple. Most recently, he spend 45' with me and getting my Lange 130's to fit properly. At the end of the session, he did not charge me for anything, as he felt that he didn't need to do all that much (although he did).

    Amazing Experience!

    I am from way out of town and came down to the metro specifically for a boot fitting and Andrew delivered!     Traveling for Great Service

    I am a ski instructor who has no local access to boot fitting. After some research I found Andrew and Hi Tempo and have the best fitting boots I have ever had! This year I made the 6 hour round trip to get new skis. I can't say enough about the staff at Hi Tempo, their patience and their attention to detail.

    Adapt a boot

    I came to see Brad for a specific problem with a boot. I had OLD screws from a fractured ankle bothering. Brad assessed the problem and recommended an orthotic to help straighten my foot. I will try it tomorrow on the slopes! Great care and help!

    Service 2nd to none.

    I was reffered to Hi-Tempo by a Client of mine who said I would be impressed by the service. I was blown out of the water (snow) by my experience!!! My wife and I both needed to get ski boots. We set an appointment with Andrew and Molly to get our fitting and custom boots done, they are both amazing and you can tell they care! Not only was the service top notch but the pricing was extremely competitive. So long as we are sking this will be our home for gear and service!

    White Bear Lake's Hi Tempo

    I can't believe I waited this long... going to the FootLab at HiTempo to get custom footbed for my ski boots. Service was excellent and the final product feels like it will make all the difference in my ski experience. I have a bunion on 1 foot, and have always had painful time skiing. Have purchased summer/lake toys here as well (kayak, trailer) and have had best customer service as well as products. Fair prices also!

    I went in for boot work and footbeds. Many people had mentioned the great service which inspired me to give HiTempo a try. I leave very impressed.     I came in early for a boot fitting adjustment and was going to just look around and wait for my appointment. I was approached by an associate and I told her why I was there. She on the the intercom and told Brad I was there. He was down in about 5 min and took care of all my needs.

    Awesome Ski Boots Fitting

    I was extremely pleased with the efficiency and expertise given by Andrew on fitting me into my new Ski Boots that he special ordered for me and I received in about a week. The other staff at Hi Tempo were friendly and helpful on other items also, and they were even able to adjust the bindings on my 2 pairs of skis at the same time and everything was done in about 1-1/2 hours from the start of my appointment. I highly recommend Hi Tempo.

    Fitting and alignment knowledge second to none.

    I could not be more impressed with the boot fitting and leg/boot alignment knowledge of the staff. My experience with Brad was terrific. Fit issues with a new pair of boots were addressed precisely the first time. A big bonus was Brad walking me through the alignment process, showing me where there was potential for improvement in my setup and what it could mean for my skiing. This shop will get all my future business -- outstanding!

    Thorough and Consultative

    My first experience with the Footlab. Just getting back into skiing after a twenty-something-year hiatus. Long ago, my family bought all of our ski equipment from Hi Tempo due to their excellent staff and service. These attributes remain today. Andrew conducted my appointment.     My Permanent Ski Shop

    I had an excellent experience! As someone with foot issues, I was thrilled to find a store that specialized in helping get my boot properly fit. All of the staff were polite, courteous, friendly, happy, and having fun. The happy and having fun is rare, but makes for a better experience. Even the employees like to be there. Finally, the skiing apparel was perfect. THere were lot sof choices in lots of sizes. I am a fan for life and will recommend to all of hy friends!

    On 12/14/2011 I had a custom insole for my new ski boots prepared by Andrew Kaczrowski. Andrew made the experience very enjoyable and his knowledge of the product was surprising.     Great service from people who know what they are doing!

    I broke my ankle last Feb. and needed to check the fit for my ski boot. I have custom foot beds and wanted to make sure everything was still o.k. It was the first time I had put my boot on since the break. Andrew helped me and checked the fit......I'm now ready to ski again!

    They do what needs to be done

    I came to Hi Tempo with the destroyed pair of old boots and the wrong liner. By the time I left I had the right pair of boots in the right liner. At no extra cost. The boot fitting was professional, professional and actually pleasant. Brad Nelson really knows what he's doing. Hi ski on the patrol and my expectations are high.     Listened carefully to difficult boot fit issues

    I have very narrow and flat feet. Ski boots are very difficult to fit and because I am an expert skier, I need boots that fit and perform well. They are willing to put in the time that it takes to find real solutions not just band aids for my concerns.

    I worked first with Brian, then Andrew for further fitting and adjusting the cant for proper balance on my skiis. Fit is good and I believe will improve my skiing and make my turns easier. Both boot fitters were patient and we reviewed several options in boots, then in canting angles before discovering my slight cant to the left. This was corrected. Just waiting for the snow.

    Originally I had my boots worked on by Hi Temo... Fantastic job. Now my boots are old.. and I purchased a pair of skiis earlier this year, I thought a new pair of boots will jeporadise my marriage. Eric added a "girdle" wrap that went around my old liners , and gave me a new pair of foot beds. Not only do my boots fit great, but my marriage is safe.     After ski for 3 years on a ski team in race boots that never fit right, i decided to get new boots and custom foot beds. I could not believe how well they fit my feet. no more crunched toes, or feet hurting after skiing all day, and when they say that it will help you with your skiing they weren't kidding, you can feel the difference the first run you take.     My son and I came to Hi Tempo to have custom inserts made, and my son also needed to have his boots adjusted to compensate for tendency to ski "knock kneed."     Andrew Kaczrowski fit my boots perfectly. H I never took this much time to fit boots in my entire (decades) of skiing. I really appreciated the time, care and effort given. After this I will schedule other members of my family to to there and have their boots fit as well. It is shops like this that need to be supported so they stay around.     HT can do running shoes too!

    After tons of knee pain and lower back pain, I had to do something. Brad worked with me to make custom running insoles and everything has changed. My knees feel better, running is easier on my back, and I can even tell a difference in the energy transfer between my feet and the ground. He worked efficiently, answered any and all questions I had and seemed genuinely interested in an update of how the insoles worked. I highly recommend these guys, and not just for custom ski boot fitting either!

    Needed new orthotics and boots adjusted. Process was nicely explained, efficient ( I expected it to take much longer), and thorough (everything was double checked. Additionally, I do not do much business on-line because it typically takes longer than a simple phone call.     My old red ski boots were my all time favorite, reluctantly as they aged I began shopping for new boots. None of the new had the flex pattern I desired. Thinking I would need to settle Hi Tempo provided the new custom liner option combined with new molded foot beds.     OMG...Footbeds!

    The Staff great at Hi Tempo. Anders helped me out with my boot selection and Brad (the owner) was able to help me out with my custom footbeds. I really can believe that I was using the standard insoles in my previous boots. The boots fit completely different with the footbeds. More comfort more circulation!     Hi Tempo is as good as they get!

    I bought a Laser sailboat and am completely satisfied with every aspect of the purchase. Brad and a couple of other guys at the shop spent nearly an hour securing my new boat on my trailer.     I bought a pair of boot liners and had them custom fitted by their staff. I'm a professional patroler and I've never had a pair of boots be so supportive and confortable at the same time.     I live in Madison, WI but had hear through my boyfriend's family that if I was interested in upgrading my 10+ year old skis and boots it was worth making the trip up to The Cities. Knowing we had come from Madison, he worked quickly but efficiently to mold my terribly out of shape feet into the most comfortable boots ever! Thanks again Brad, it was worth it!

    Having my alignment checked and my skis balanced assures me of a great winter of skiing -- efficient, effortless turns mean more runs. Foot beds and canting to make sure my feet are both flat is essential.

    Well worth the time and money

    I have narrow small feet that vary by 1/2 size. I hate having to buy new shoes or boots. My DH boots were 9 years old. Hi Tempo was wonderful to work with. Great selection of boots and they were very patient in finding the right boot and then customizing the boot to fit my feet. I skied the new boots the first day (yesterday). they felt great the longer I wore them the better they felt- so much for break in. Great service great people and yes great prices too. Well worth the drive.

    Fantastic Custom Boot fitting

    Wow, these guys really know their stuff. They spent 4 hours finding me the perfect boot and orchestrating the perfect fit. I was really impressed! They came highly recommended by a ski instructer friend and the 35 minute drive to get there was well worth it!

    I have a lot of trouble with my feet skiing. They were able to diagnose the problem and fix. What more can you say. Worth the money if you have problems you have to fix.

    The Best in Town!

    After visiting several downhill ski shops in the Cities, my experience at Hi Tempo was absolutely the best! All the customer reps are friendly and helpful but Hi Tempo excels in their knowledge base. I am the poster child for narrow feet so boots are a huge issue for me. I can't wait to get out and downhill now after the service I received at Hi Temp!

    I was very impressed with the amount of time Andrew took to help me find the right pair of boots. Then, when I returned for a custom boot fitting, he again was patient, knowledgeable and didn't rush the process.

    Scott Rapp Rocks

    I have narrow feet, and its hard to find boots that fit. Scott took a lange that was too wide and, using a zip fit classic liner, he made it fit awesome! The custom footbed he made will add comfort and control. But, Scott didn't stop there, he noticed an alignment problem with my right leg necessitating a 1 degree cant on the boot which he is in the process of modifying. I hope Hi-Tempo send me another one of these once ski season is underway for an update. In teh meantime, THANK YOU SCOTT!

    A rare combination of service and reasonable pricing

    The boot fitting and equipment advice are wonderful. This shop is just the right size to have or order what you need and the staff are always knowledgeable and courteous. In a fast paced world this is getting harder to find.

    Great Service

    I am a ski instructor and really pleased with the custom boot fitting I had done at Hi Tempo. Moreover, Brad was willing to fine tune the fitting this year, because some problems had developed, and there was no charge for this. Staff have always been knowledgeable and courteous.

    Great Service and Skill set

    I bought a ski package and recieved great service. I was concerned with a proper boot fitting and was impressed with the knowledge and skill of Scott who helped me. While I was only going in with the idea of buying boots, the great deals on skis and poles convinced me to buy all three items plus helemts for me and my daughter as well as some clothes.
