A great first experience
I read about Ron on SFGate and decided to give him a call, as I'm hoping to go grey as naturally as possible. He gave me a great haircut and we made a plan for the color as it becomes necessary. His studio is very cool, but still comfortable, and he is easy to talk to. I'll definitely be going back!

Loved my Experience Here - Ron is amazinggggg
I had received Ron's name from a haircutter in LA when I told him I was moving to SF from my then home of Park City, UT. I went to Ron and was reallyyyyyyy impressed. He understood exactly what I was looking for (I brought a photo to help) and just "got it.". He then gave me a great bang-trim which was exactly what I needed. The layering is just perfect and I can't wait to go to Ron for a full cut. Plus he has a wonderful personality and I love his cute studio. Believe the hype and reviews!

The man has style!
I needed a make-over from a very short gamin look to a more sophisticated one that complements my bone structure better. Ron Pernell is the best colorist around. He colors my graying hair in a way that the roots are barely noticeable as the color grows out. It's enhancing without appearing dyed. AND he does it all with such easy competence. It's very easy to highly recommend Ron.

He can do ANY kind of hair!
Ron can do any kind of hair, and that's something coming from a mixed girl (black & white). Few curly hair "experts" have a clue how to cut my hair and turn me away like I have freakish unruly hair. Ron makes validates me, helps my mixed race hair look faboosh. I don't straighten my locks because Ron shows me how to to be au natural. He's the best. I've been going to him since I was 18. An experience to remember!
From the moment I walked in to Ron's studio it was clear that this was not going to be 'just a haircut' but a real Salon 'experience.' The Soho-esque loft housed a handful of divinely gifted coiffures! I went to work for the first time after my new "do" and everyone told me I look 5 years younger. There was not one person who did not like it. Ron is stuck with me forever and it worth my time travelling to see him. If I could click on 10 stars, I would do it!!

Finally! A stylist who can give me a FAB haircut like NYC stylists can.

Simply the best!

He's just a try professional and fosters a great low key atmosphere at his very urban centrally located live/work loft space. What a Relief!

Ron is amazing with color. As I am turning grey (unfortunatley) Ron has lightened up my base color and added and array of high and low lights to give much more of a natural look and a multitude of demension.
