    Great experience

    I am new to the area and I chose Nolas and Anna from all of the great reviews. I needed a whole "new mom" makeover for my hair and I left totally in love with my new hair cut and I feel so much more confident. Added bonus: my daughter can't grab my hair any more when nursing!

    Good hair cut

    The stylist took her time and did a great job. My only concern might have been if young kids were around because the topic of conversation amongst the stylists was not age appropriate nor professional. Otherwise if you don't mind that they do very good work.

    Best haircut, color and highlight EVER!!!

    Have gone to several salons in my life and Nolas Salon is by far the best! The stylists are attentive to your every need. My stylist Tiffany was able to help me decide on color cut and everything. I walked out of there looking better than i have in years!

    Tiffany IS the HairGoddess

    If you want color go to Tiffany. I got a blonde ombre and I absolutely love it. She will also make sure you hair stays healthy and happy after a relaxer and color. I wish I could move her up to NY but I will always come find her when I am in town.

    Great Salon!

    I have been to Nolas several times now, and everyone there is so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Even though it is a bit out of my way to get there, and there are salons closer to me, Tiffany is the best stylist I have ever had cut and color my hair. Highly recommend this salon.

    Love it!

    After moving here from Ohio a couple years ago, I never thought I'd find a salon I loved as much as the one I left back home...but I did! Nola's is awesome and Anna is amazing! They are so nice and I feel great every time I leave. I even had Anna do the hair of my best friend from Ohio before her Charleston wedding...she managed to make it exactly what she wanted even though she had never met her before. I recommend Nola's to everyone I can, whenever I can. I love it there!

    Tiffany is the best!

    I needed a new style and my hair fixed from a bad cut while in Ohio. Tiffany did an outstanding job as she always does! She picked the perfect color and gave me a functionable, amazing new hair style. Tiffany stands out because she takes the time to really get to know her customers, she goes above and beyond just doing her job.

    Fantastic

    I have extremely thick, hard to work with, time consuming hair. I am also pretty particular about a hair cut. Nolas really does give you the high dollar hair experience at reasonable prices. I see Gary as does my daughter. He takes the time to be sure we are getting what we want and getting it done right. We have had cuts, styles, and I have also done the keratin treatment. He obviously takes pride in his work.

    Love this place!

    I think the girl that did my hair was Anna. The awesome red head! LOVE my color and LOVE my cut! Hair feels 5 pounds lighter! She's great at what she does! The salon is funky…in a good way! Recommend this place to EVERYONE!

    Gary is awesom!!!

    I wanted to go from a dark color to a lighter color. Gary was the one who did my hair. He did a fantastic job. Everyone in the salon are really nice and professional.

    Always a Pleasure!

    I have always come home from Nola's with a wonderful cut and beautiful colo. Jenna is awesome and is a true artist. Nola's atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Jenna is a very special lady who pays individual attention which makes you feel like a friend and not just a customer.

    Jenna is the bomb dot com!

    Shortly after I moved to Charleston from WI, I found Nola's Salon online. I decided to give them a try, and was incredibly happy with the service I received! 2 years later, Nola's is the only salon I trust in the Summerville area! Jenna always does an amazing job with my hair, & Ginger and Gary are a hoot! :)

    After I moved to Charleston, I found Nola's salon in Summerville online, read the reviews and took a chance. My instincts were dead on. Gary has done wonders with my hair, the color and cut are perfect. My coworkers rave about my hair all the time.

    Great Place

    Gary was great!!! Very personable and funny. made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Liked that he went with his experience and gives input but is not pushy. Was a spur of a moment drop in with a pleasant visit. glad I stopped!!

    Incredible, as always!

    As usual, Jenna gave me an amazing haircut and color. I never have to tell her what to do, she just does it....perfectly! And going into Nolas isn't like going into a salon, it's like visiting a group of good friends! I love this place!

    Wonderful!

    Nolas Salon really is a diamond in the rough. It was a lot of fun and it was really refreshing to not be in a typical salon setting. You'd never expect such a wonderful staff in such a small, out of the way location. I was more than pleased and will definitely be returning.

    Once again I was thrilled with my services provided by Tiffany! She took the time to contact me to see if we needed to add more time to the appt. for color.... since we hadn't scheduled it initially. I'm just so pleased with the personal service touch, the 7 days a week to be able to accommodate any/all schedules, to the laid back atmosphere. Just can't say enough good things!

    I came to Nolas Salon when my hair was a hot mess. Jeanna was my saving grace. She assured me that she cud fix it and stayed very late to do so. She did an amazing job and I loved it. Anything I ask her to do she knows exactly what im talking about and im always very happy. Nolas is a fun place to go with never a dull moment!!!! Best Salon in the Charleston!!!!!!!!!!

    Tiffany knows her stuff. No matter what I seem to toss her way - she is ready for it!! She has the ability to do whatever she is given and do it up awesome!     First Time Visitor

    I went to Nola's for the first time, I was nervous because I don't let anyone touch my hair. Not a lot of people can handle the curls/wave how knotted it gets. Tiffany sat me down & didn't flinch. She had me in & out. I got a blowout & she straighted my hair. I had so much body & it looked SO good. I made another appt. the same day & decided to drop my stylist to keep her. I'm glad I went.

    finally someone who knows what they're doing!

    I have lived in Summerville for almost 10 years and Tiffany is the ONLY reasonably priced hairdresser that I have found! I went in after having 2 botched hair cuts and she was able to make my hair look amazing! I gave her a very vague idea of what I was looking for and she cut it better than I could've ever imagined! They don't charge extra to blow dry and flat iron which is a definite plus!

    Love me some Ginger!

    I always feel like a million bucks when I walk out of Nolas, without feeling like I just spent a million bucks! I've been going to Ginger for a loonnggg time and have never gotten a bad cut, color, or highlights...and that's saying a lot, because I've had a LOT done to my hair! I just want to keep it a secret so that it's easy for me to get an appointment...(I'm being selfish!), but I have to let Nolas & Ginger know how much I appreciate the great work!

    I recently got my hair done by Tiffany. I came in with really bleached damaged hair hoping she could fix it. She made my hair tremendously healthy and gave me great advice to maintane it as well. I recieved the best hair cut and color iv ever had!!

    Ginger is tops

    Ginger did a beautiful job with my haircut. I loved the sassy swinging style I had gotten elsewhere and badly needed it trimmed up. When Ginger was done it looked at least as good as the original cut, maybe better. I highly recommend Ginger to anyone who wants a style update done with flair and talent.

    This is not a quick drive thru super volume salon. It is a salon where staff actually listens and helps you make a decision you will be happy with. Gary is phenomenal and patient.     modern and fearless

    I have short hair, and a couple times a year I like to change my whole look. Ginger listens to my ideas and gives me a cut better than I could ever ask for. It will be months before I need another cut! She made it perfect for a bit of a grow out.

    My experience at Nolas...

    Once upon a time, there was a hair salon. They called this mysterious place Nolas. I came upon this hair utopia in a time of my life when much disaster was upon my hair. It lost its mind and all control! But to the rescue Jenna came and slayed the curly mess. Need I say more if hair experience is a fairy tale without romance. I look forward to getting my hair cut every time because I only go to Nolas! (Now imagine Sean Connery reading this)

    Fantastic Salon!!!

    If you are looking for a laid back salon with reasonable prices then Nolas is the one for you!!! Ginger does a gorgeous job with my highlights and lowlights and I always get compliments on my hair. I"ve been to three different salons in the area and Nolas is by far the best!     I've been going to Nola's for several years now. Jenna and Ginger are amazing! They absolutely know me and know what to do. They also did my hair and makeup for my wedding a year ago, so they have really become family! Awesome service, wonderful people and great conversation! I suggest Nola's to everyone I know!

    LOVE IT!

    When I pulled up to the salons location my first thought was "of great, a hole in the wall!" But the inside is awesome! Very cool salon with an even cooler staff! Very helpful and knowledgeable! Loved my color and my hair cut! Will def be going back! Bringing my kids there for a cut too!

    Jenna did an awesome job on my hair! I have had really bad color jobs before... I get my hair lightened and the last the lady broke my hair off. Jenna did an exceptional job. My hair does not feel dry or brittle at all. No breakage. I am completely satisfied and will definitely be returning to her.

    Best Salon!

    I have been in Charleston for 8 years, and was a serial salon-hopper until I found Nolas. I absolutely love this salon. The salon is really comfortable and fun and it's always clean. I see Tiffany, and she is fantastic! She works wonders with my thick, curly hair. I got all-over color this week, and she did a thorough consultation and told me what to expect for upkeep. They are always doing fun events and run great specials. I won't go anywhere else!

    Came in with hair by Crayola, left with great color

    I tried to cover my grays and lighten my hair a few shades... well the end result was orange hair on top and the bottom was kind of OK. I felt like the cowardly lion when he made it to the Emerald City when I entered Nolas. Gary Young was better than the Wizard and I left with a smoking hot hair color. I have already made a follow up appointment and I think Gary is the best. Go and try it for yourself. You will be pleasantly surprised.

    Tiffany is awesome! She listens to me, offers creative suggestions, shows me how to reproduce the look at home and makes me look beautiful every time! My hair is so healthy even though she colors/highlights it regularly! I followed her from another salon and am so glad I found her. Nola's has a fun and funky setting, is priced right, and everyone is friendly! Ginger has a gem of a salon!

    Excellent as Always

    I tried several other salons before Nola's but never felt like I had a great experience. I felt like the staff at Nola's actually listened to what I wanted done with my hair and had the know-how to do it. Plus it was a much better value than the other salons I visited. I plan to keep going back to Jenna!

    I moved here 3 years ago and was not been able to find anyone to make my hair look the way I wanted. This is the first time I didn't feel the need to wash it before I went anywhere the next day.     Perfection all around!

    Tiffany Washington

    May 25, 2012 was my first visit to Nolas Salon but was not my first time with Tiffany. Tiffany has been doing my hair for about 3 years now. When I started seeing her my hair was to my waist & grey. Now it is short colored to natural color with a little highlights. Tiffany understands my hair & when she is done it always look natural & stylingis an ease. After every time Tiffany cuts my hair I get countless compliments. Thanks Tiffany.

    Nolas salon

    Love this salon, very friendly very professional. Went for a cut the first time, Tiffany gave me a great cut. Went for color the second time and got my daughters hair cut she did a great job on her hair as well and she did a great job on my color she is amazing can't say enough about this salon wonderful place for all your hair needs, ask for Tiffany she is wonderful.

    GREAT CUT!!

    I am new to the Summerville area. My personal banker actually recommended Nolas to me. She had such a cute cut I asked her where she had it done. I am so glad that I took her recommendation to go to Nolas. Kari cut my hair. She did a wonderful job. I love my cut. And I am picky. The staff there was friendly and I enjoyed talking to them.     Nolas Salon

    Nolas is the best salon I Have found in the Charleston, North Charleston, and Summerville areas. My stylist Tiffany Washington is the Queen of color, and a no-nonsense advocate of proper hair care. I've only been going for a few moths, but she's managed to tame and strengthen my (previously badly damaged) hair. 10 stars for Tiffany and Nolas!

    Love this place

    Ginger (my person), is exceptionally talented in cutting and coloring. She makes you feel like family. Very happy with my natural looking - long lasting color/highlights and cut. Like the music and the laid back vibe. I'll keep going back. :)

    Color blending

    Kari did the most amazing color blending for me. I had about 25% silver and liked it , but my natural color was drab and so Kari did a foil color blending for me...a soft blonde that blends with my silver. My color is so natural and so pretty, so very happy!

    Fantastic!

    I finally found this salon through google because they were open on Mondays. It was easy to make an appt online and although the salon looks a little shady on the outside it's warm and funky on the inside. Jenna went over what I wanted, what would look good for my head and made it a reality. I had to go back and get it a bit shorter the next day at no charge...and the price was fantastic. I will definitely be a regular now.

    New comer!

    well, i was welcomed as soon as i walked in the door, made to feel at home, even though no one in there had met me before. at my appointment time, tiffany introduced herself and we talked about what i wanted. she cut it just the way i wanted it, and the color looks phenomenal! i have gotten soo many compliments on the color and style! I will be returning in a month or so for a trim, and then later on for a touch up on the color! thanks guys!

    Pure Awesomness!!!

    What can I say? This place is so full of eclectic personality and unadulterated Talent! From the "metal head" ambience with "Johnny Cash"playing in the background, one really needs a moment to take it all in. So cool, unpretentious and refreshing! And the services rendered are amazing. Anna is fantabulific! Seriously, her name should be "Anna Houdini" because she made my ugly DISAPPEAR!!!! So glad I found this place, I now have a "my salon"!

    Love my new cut and color

    I recently got my hair cut and colored at Nolas.The staff is always courteous and I love the funky feel of the salon. I love love LOVE my color (low-lights) and how natural it looks. I wasn't sure about my cut, I thought it was going to be a little too edge for me and my bangs looked a little odd to me when flat ironed (Gary offered to fix them for me if I didn't like them), but given a few days to play with it, I love the cut too, curly and straight. Thank you!

    I've been going here for a couple years and this place is FABULOUS. All of the girls do a wonderful job and they give you honest opinions.     And unfortunately I've had plenty of those. However, when Anna took on the challenge that is my hair she did so fearlessly while babying me through the process.     AMAZING!

    I went in for a little trim after finding a deal on Groupon. During my visit I asked Ginger, "If I said do whatever you want, what would you do" She told me she would take my long hair to about shoulder length and give me some funky bangs" I told her to let's do it!!! It looks AMAZING!!! I love it. I loved the salon, everyone was wonderful. I will definately be going to Nolas Salon from now on. Thank goodness for Groupon. Oh, I had my eyebrows waxed as well and they are perfect!

    Awesome!!

    I'll admit, I was a little skeptical when first pulled up as to the level of service I was about to receive. However, as soon as I walked in, I was warmly greater and did not have to wait at all. Gary was wonderful. He asked some questions to get to know my hair and me. Overall I had a great experience and l'll surely be back! P.S. I cannot stop touching my hair!

    The Best of the Best

    Ginger just did up-do's for me, my sister and my Mom this past weekend for my vow renewal ceremony. She has been a part of all of our family's big events since we met her a couple years back. She never ceases to amaze us with her talent! We love her and would recommend to everyone!!

    Not what you except

    never had been there before, had never even seen the place. They did a good job with the cut and color, but I was expecting a "different" atmosphere. I guess when I get my hair done I like it to be in a nice, relaxing, spa like. It reminded me of a tattoo parlor, beside a gas station and hair braiding place. They did a good job but if I'm going to spend the money to get my hair colored I will go some where else.

    I had a horrible experience a week earlier with a hack job hair cut. Robert at Nola was able to not only salvage my do, he gave me the most amazing cut! The people are kind.     Corrected my hair color disaster

    I had a wonderful experience at Nolas! I had a do it yourself box coloring disaster on a Sunday night. I went in on Monday morning and Jenna corrected my "mess" and put a beautiful color on my hair. She was FANTASTIC!!!! I will definitley go back the next time that I need color.

    Going out on a limb

    I have had my hair long for almost my entire life. Cutting in to my shoulders 3 times only. This time I came to Ginger with a picture and told her that I wanted to try it but I was concerned that it would not look good on me or that I would not be able to come close to the style on my own. With her encouragement and AWSOME abilities I am pleased and confident in my choice. Leaving about 12" behind I can not even recognize myself. I so needed a kick and I am so happy that I got it.     VERY HAPPY!

    After having the same cosmetologist do my hair for the last 16 years I was very hesitant to try a new salon. I'm happy that I gave it a try.     After recently moving down here and having two other salons "butcher" and "overprocess" my hair, I was really hesitant about trying another place.     Distraction Is Key!

    My 3 year old daughter is absolutely frieghted of EVERYTHING! Loud toys, silly string. Ginger was able to distract her by casual conversation about just combing her hair and it was over before she had a moment to get really upset.     Best salon experience since moving to SC!

    I have lived in Charleston for 4 years and this was my absolute best salon experience. Ginger foiled my hair in record time and gave me the best cut I've ever had. I told her I was under a time constraint and although I only went in for a haircut, she had my hair highlighted, low lighted, cut, and styled in an hour and a half. To say that I was impressed would be a massive understatement! This is the only salon I would recommend for exceptional results.

    Love the new hair!

    I went and saw Danielle for a cut and color... the results are incredible! I've never loved my hair color so much. I told Danielle my general ideas and then she ran with it.     best. haircut. ever.

    i went to nolas for the 1st time with a groupon, but a co-worker had also recommended it so i would've gone anyway. ginger did a great job with my difficult, fine, limp hair and gave me an actual style that created volume. i am very happy with it and will definitely be back. i also really liked the atmosphere, decor, and the quotes to enjoy reading while getting your hair washed. it's especially refreshing that you don't have to go to a snooty salon to get a great haircut. highly recommend!

    The girls here are amazing. I had my hair colored and cut and she did an awsome job, I had a really bad color and she fixed it without problem. I will be going there again soon :) they also cut my daughters hair. Good coversation too :)

    So glad I found them

    I recently moved to Summerville and went to another salon. I was devasted at the color and cut she gave me. I went to Nolas, where Giner saved the day. She corrected the awful color back to my blond, instead of brassy strawberry and gave me a great cut. Two weeks later I went back so Robert could smooth my hair. Best job I have ever had !!! Thank you Robert and Ginger you have my business for as long as we live in the area. I sent my husband to Ginger for his cut and he was very pleased !

    Best hair service of my life!!

    I recently went into Nolas Salon and had my very dark brown hair taken back to my natural blonde color. Robert was my stylist and he took his time and treated my hair like I was a celebrity!!     Awesome style and service

    Got so many compliments

    Ginger did a great job, first time i did not have to go home and wash it and redo it after getting a haircut. I have curly hair and always worry about trying someone new but she knew how to cut it, whrere everything fell right and not too short when shrank up after dry

    What other praises can I possibly give Nolas, other than referring friends and anyone who inquires about my fantastic hair cut to their salon...I have to add, that as a biracial woman (black & white), I have stuggled to find someone that is confident enough to tackle my thick and curly mane.     Fantastic, Fashionable & Reasonable!

    Not only was it easy to book last minute but after trying high dollar salons in the area, Nola's is very economical & cutting edge. With baby fine hair, cuts can be traumatic but Nadine was wonderful. Color was amazing, cut was the best I have had in years. DEFINITELY recommend.

    My mom suggested that I go to Nolas for the thermal straightener, before my upcoming wedding. Having very curly hair I was a little sceptical, but the time I spent with Robert was well worth it.
